A becon of hope

"Run Run Run!" "Is it still behind us!" "Ah! Not anymore!"  Sooooo you might be wondering why is everyone yelling. Well it's a pretty common thing to do when a dinosaur is chasing you through the jungle. "Over there cover!" Darius yells as we all run towards a fallen tree for shelter. We wait until the fight has died down to look over the tree only to see the T. rex dragging away it's dinner. "There gone" Darius says and everyone looks relieved. "Why are there some many dinosaurs around!" Kenji says frustrated. "Well it's either your manly charm or all the fences on the island are down." Brooklyn says sarcastically. "No offense" "all offense" "but it's definitely option 2" Sammy says with me cutting her off in the middle. "I don't even care... right now I just was some damn food. We haven't eaten since we had those horrible carob bars that Ben..." Yas starts but trails off. We all go silent until we hear a roar. "Great they're back for round 2" i say as we all groan in annoyance. "We just need to eat and some rest. I can't keep running like this" Sammy says as we all get up and start to walk to who knows where. "We don't have to" Darius says optimistically. "There's bound to be a way to call for help on Main Street and food and everything else."

Before he can even finish talking we all talk off towards Main Street only to be meet with total disaster. Main Street looks like a herd of dinosaurs ran through it... which is probably what happened. "What happened here?" Kenji asked. "I'll give you one guess" I replied. "Umm I'm thinking dinosaurs" Yas answers. "It's more than that... some type of fight took place. For the height I'm thinking the T. rex and... something bigger." Darius starts. "The Indominus Rex" I finish looking out into the lagoon. "But I think their fight got cut short" "well at least we don't have to worry about it or the Mosasauras being hungry for a while" Darius says walking towards me. "Guys! You have to see this!" Sammy yells scaring the crap out of me and Darius.

"... all of that... for a picture of Brooklyn" I say with a deadpan face and walk off. Everyone else starts to laugh at the picture. I guess I'm the only one who remembers why we're here in the first place. "Hey while y'all are over there laughing like there's no tomorrow I just want to remind y'all that tomorrow isn't promised if we don't get off this island." I say as the all give me this look but I don't really care. "Ok let's start looking for a way to communicate with the main land." Darius says. "Already done" I reply looking away from them. "The island has emergency signals to send out in case of an emergency it's just a matter of finding it. Bet the last park didn't have that" I say while walking off. In the distance I can hear the muttering about me and ask what my problem was. Honestly I don't have a problem I'm just trying to get off this island and figure out where to go from there. All of them have something to life for but me? The only thing I had probably died with this island.

They all join me in looking. We start in this gift shop looking building. Darius checks the lost and found but has no luck. "Seriously no one lost their phone." "And whatever phones are here aren't working. The powers out there's not even walkie talkies." "Oh yeah then what do you call these bad boys" "Definitely not bad boys" "Hey at least they work. They even have a robot mode." You know I might go crazy before we get off this island. There's only so much stupid you can take. "Oh!" I hear Sammy yell. "You found it!?" I yell but hopefully. "An insiders guide to Jurassic world! It's got all kinds of details about that park like did you know there's hidden Dinos carved in the buildings or that aircraft aren't allow to fly over the island?... Sorry that's last one's a bummer" Seriously y'all do know that stupid is contagious right? Sammy walks off with her book while I just starr at her with a "are you kidding me" look. "Hey!" Brooklyn yells. "Is it the beacon?" I ask. "No even better it's a camera! Now I can document all the crazy stuff that we've seen! Our rescue will be a Brooklyn exclusive. That will get my follower count back up to where it belongs." She says. "I'm sorry we finally have a way to get off this damn island and your worried about your stupid followers!" I yell at her. "Hey I'm one of her followers!" Sammy says. "And I work at this park and yet y'all have been trash talking it and me since this whole thing started!" I reply and continue to look around the store.
