Lacuna (Book two to Attraction)

Authors Note: Hello to all of you lovely readers! This next chapter contains spoilers of the movie Titanic. So, if you have not seen the movie and would like to (I just want to for warn you)  I would just skip that part Unless of course you don't mind spoilers, then go for it! I just don't want to spoil the film for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Paul and I spend the next few days trying to find a husky, but we eventually found one at a shelter after we called a bunch of shelters looking for a Husky.
We had to drive out to Moses Lake Washington which was only an hour away thankfully so it wasn't too far. We finally got our dog and he's absolutely adorable. He is three months old and already a handful, it's a bit like having a toddler if I had to describe it. His name is Apollo, which suits him perfectly.

Apollo runs around the living room as he occasionally whines and whimpers when he loses sight of Paul and I. We both call out to him as he races towards us again where we sit on the couch. He lets out a whine when he realizes he can't jump up on the couch. I gently pick him up in my arms as I kiss him on the head and set him on the couch.

"He's just so cute!" I gush. "I can't get enough of him, and he smells so good!"

"Yeah, he is really cute." Paul smiles as he begins petting Apollo.

Renesmee and Jacob ended up getting their husky from a shelter too, their husky is five months old and a girl that was named Blue. They are bringing her over to play with Apollo today which Renesmee and I are both really excited for them to finally meet.

Apollo suddenly begins barking and howling when he stops petting him, this makes us both laugh. He really likes us both, but I can take he has really taken a liking to Paul which I find adorable. He stops whining when he resumes petting Apollo again.

I can hear the sound of a car door closing making me jump up from the couch.

"They're here!" I exclaim happily as I rush to the front door. Renesmee is already happily standing outside on the doormat holding Blue on her leash.

"Hi!" She excitedly greets. Apollo runs to the front door and stands in-between my legs which makes me laugh. "Oh my goodness, he's so cute." Renesmee says referring to Apollo.

I pick him up in my arms and move out of the way so she and Jacob can come into the house now.

"Hey, Willow." Jacob greets in a friendly manner.

"Hey!" I beam happily. She takes Blue off of her leash as both dogs begins sniffing each other for a couple of seconds, we all watch them carefully. They both begin pawing at each other.

"Hey, Renesmee. How's it going?" Paul asks cordially. She gives him a smile.

"Hi! I'm doing good, I'm super happy right now! You have no idea how long I've been wanted to do a doggy play date." She tells him.

"Well now you've got your dream come true." He grins at her.

"Yeah! It's the best thing ever." She cheerily replies.

Apollo suddenly takes off running through the house with Blue playfully chasing him as they begin running in circles together.

"Aw, they like each other." She grins.

"I know! I'm so happy right now." I respond as our dogs continue to play.

"Hey, do you want a beer?" Paul asks Jacob.

"Sure." He says as the two head to the kitchen.

"So, I have a surprise for you." Renesmee says as she reaches into her purse.
