The flight back to Forks felt like it was going to take forever, it felt like we were never going to get there if I'm being honest. But I'm glad I was able to actually sleep on the plane this time, I dreamed that I was walking through the forest with Paul at midnight.
That was the first dream I have had since I've been a human again, I hadn't dreamt anything the night of all of us being at the hotel.

When we finally land in Forks, I feel extremely jet lagged but I'm not complaining. I took a lot of things for granted when I was a human, but now things are going to be different, now I am going to be grateful for things like being jet lagged or overly tired.
Even after being wheeled through the airport in a wheelchair because of my ankle, I'm still so glad to be human again.

Sam picks Paul and I up from the airport, while Jacob and Renesmee ride back with Carlisle.
I thank them again for coming with me and they all give me warm and happy smiles, I'm so incredibly lucky that the vile was even in that cave. For all I knew, another vampire could have come along and drank it and then this would have all been for nothing, but here I am as human as I've ever been and I feel so very lucky.

I sit in the backseat of the car as Sam drives me over to Paul's house since he insisted that I stay with him for a couple of weeks or at least until my ankle heals up.

"So, Willow, how does it feel to be human again?" Sam asks as he gives me a friendly smile in the rear view mirror.

"Well, I'm never going to take it for granted again that's for sure." I tell him. "I like it better this way."

Paul begins telling Sam all about the trip to Antarctica and about the other vampire who tried to kill me after we left the cave.

"He originally said he was going to leave, but I didn't trust him for a second. I knew he was going to come back at some point when he knew she was human and try to kill her." Paul explains as Sam continues driving and making a few turns down the road as we get closer to Paul's house.

"At least he's dead now, that's a good thing." Sam responds as he pulls up to the front of the house.

Sam gets the suitcase out of the trunk and brings it into the house, as Paul carries me into the house and gently sets me down on the couch.

"It was good to see you again." Sam tells me as he gets ready to leave.

"Thanks! You too." I smile up at him from the couch.

After Sam leaves, Paul closes the front door and turns to face me now.

"We're finally alone." I say jokingly in a seductive voice, this makes Paul laugh and shake his head.

"If you wanted to get sexual babe, all you had to do was ask." He teases me, I giggle and roll my eyes at him.

"Just come here and let me lay on you for a while, please." I request sleepily, Paul doesn't hesitate.

Within an instant he's by my side on the couch, my head rests on his chest as he begins playing with my hair which relaxes me and makes me feel all the more sleep drunk.

"I can hear your heart beat again... I love it." He states in a calming voice.

"Did you miss it?" I ask looking up at him.

"Honestly? I did miss it." He tells me, I smile to myself feeling happy now that he can hear my heart beat again.  "Your heart beat always sounds like a humming birds wings when you're nervous or excited."

"That was your nickname for me for a while." I speak softly as I relax under his touch.

"It still is." He hums lowly. "What happened when you drank that blood anyway?" He asks curiously.
