"Oh my God, you're getting married!!!" Renesmee screams excitedly as she enters the house.
Her arms wrap around my neck in a hug before she takes my hand and looks down at the beautiful ring. She gasps.

"Whoa...This is the most beautiful ring I've ever seen! Paul has amazing taste." She compliments.

"I love it so much... He really knows style." I say grinning at her.

After I posted my engagement ring on Facebook, Renesmee insisted that she come over in a few days when she's off work to really see it. I'm so happy we are able to spend time together again, I always love seeing her.

"Oh, for sure." She responds. "So! Have you thought about wedding venues? Or a dress? My aunt Alice helped decorate for my parents wedding and I've seen pictures of it, it was stunning. You should totally ask her!"

"Well I have been looking at wedding dresses online and I think I want to try one on at this bridal shop in Tacoma." I tell her. It's my first time ever going there, but I remember Paul telling me it is his home town when we first started hanging out.

"We can make that drive today if you want, it's eight AM and I've got plenty of time to kill." Renesmee offers.

"Really? Are you sure, it's three hours away." I reply.

"Yeah, it's fine! Oooh, you should invite your mom and your aunt to come too. We'll just take my car since I can fit more people." She says eagerly.

"You're really sweet to offer this, you know." I reply smiling.

"Well, you're kind of  one of my best friends." She admits, I suddenly hug her, she doesn't hesitate to wrap her arms around me.

"You're my best friend, too." I confess sheepishly once our hug breaks.

"Oh, stop." Renesmee grins as he fluffs her hair which makes me giggle.  "Call your mom and your aunt, let's do this thing." She grins beautifully.

When I posted that I was engaged on Facebook a couple of days ago, I got a ton of messages on Facebook from family members and old high school friends congratulating me. But my mom was the first one to call me after seeing my Facebook post. She was so over joyed with excitement, and then of course my aunt Layla called me second to congratulate me. I couldn't tell which one of them was more excited because they both sounded so very thrilled about the news.

After I call my mom, and Layla, they both agree to meet Renesmee and I at Paul's house. While we wait for them to get here, I decide on putting on some makeup for today while Renesmee hangs out with me in the hall bathroom as I begin painting my face.

I decide on using some bb cream, powder, bronzer, and two coats of mascara. When I decide I look decent enough, I put on my usual Adirondack boots, jeans, a pretty white blouse, and a forest green jacket.

"You looks really pretty!" She flatters.

"Thank you, I really hope I find the one today." I reply smiling bashfully.

"We will. I just know it." She confidently responds.

After Layla and my mom arrive at Paul's house, they immediately want to see the ring. I proudly hold out my hand as they gasp in amazement. They are all being very kind out the cuts on my face by not asking me how I got them, even if the cuts have started healing up and are tiny now. I'm just grateful I don't have to come up with a lie.

"It's so beautiful." Layla comments.

"My goodness... How did he come across such a stunning ring?!" My mom exclaims.  "Talk about good taste."

"I love it." I gush happily.

"I can't wait to see you in a wedding dress." Layla grins, "You're going to make me cry."
