When the sun comes up, I can feel it hitting my skin like a warm electric blanket; it's a comforting feeling.
I can hear Paul stirring in his tent, I should probably go back down there and wake him up. I'm sure he's going to be hungry when he wakes up... I wish I would have packed him some sandwiches for right now.I wait a couple of minutes in the tree for Lindsay, but when I don't see her I decide on coming down from my current perching spot and making my way over to Paul.
When I unzip the tent, I watch him sleep for a couple of minutes before smiling to myself. He looks so beautiful, and so peaceful. I carefully move over to him and place my hand upon his shoulder rocking him gently. His breathing quickens for a second before he slowly opens his eyes looking happy to see me."Hi." I grin. "You look really peaceful when you're asleep."
"I feel peaceful." Paul sits up wrapping his arms around me, he deeply inhales. "I missed you. Did you stay out all night?"
"Yeah... I did. I met someone, actually." I tell him.
"Oh?" He inquires.
"Her name is Lindsay; she's a vampire too. She's... interesting." I half laugh.
"Oh, I'm more than interesting, babe." I hear Lindsay call out. Paul sits up further before we both leave the tent; I spot Lindsay standing between the trees her hair is blowing in the breeze.
Lindsay whistles. "You said you were dating a werewolf, but you didn't say he was hot! Hot damn." She runs over to us, appearing in my face within an instant.
"Paul, this is Lindsay. Lindsay, this is my boyfriend, Paul." I introduce them both. Paul gives a friendly nod, he doesn't trust her just yet.
"Relax, I'm one of the good ones." Lindsay smiles sticking out her hand to shake, he shakes it firmly not saying a word.
"Where did you come from?" He asks lowly.
"Everywhere." Her Irish accent sounds so beautiful. I wish I had an accent. He doesn't look amused.
"I'm obviously from Ireland, but I came to the US because I wanted to travel—mind you this was before I turned. I was already across the US border when I was turned, now I just roam freely." She tells him seemingly honest."And how did you find Willow?" He questions her again.
"I was going through these woods, looking for food when I heard her. I started watching her after I saw her get out of the tent; I thought what on Earth is a vampire doing in a tent anyway?" She half laughs at the end of her sentence. Paul seems to relax a little more now.
"So... No one sent you?" I hear myself blurt out. I need to shake my paranoia that Jeffery is sending people to follow after me.
Lindsay chuckles. "No. I'm a loner. Willow here is the first vampire I've talked to in three years!"
"Okay. Glad that's settled." Paul swallows hard. He seems to relax a little bit more now.
I can hear a car in the distance, as can everyone else. We all stay quiet for a few minutes as we listen to the sound of the car getting closer. When the car doors close, I turn around to see Jacob and Renesmee getting out of the vehicle. They both look surprised to see a third person standing in-between Paul and I.
"Uh...Who's the red eyes?" Jacob asks as they approach us.
"I'm Lindsay." She sticks her hand out for them to shake it, Renesmee shakes her hand politely. "Willow and I go way back to a couple hours ago in a tree."
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Renesmee and this is my boyfriend, Jacob." Renesmee gives a friendly smile to the Irish beauty, Lindsay grins.
"You're as stunning as they come... What are you?" Lindsay asks. "Because you're not fully vampire... I can hear your heartbeat. Yet, I don't have the overwhelming urge to go Dracula on you either." I hold back a chuckle at her Dracula comment.
