"Hey partner," Danny says as he sees Maria at her desk.
"Hi Reagan,"
Shes tidying her side of the desk, organizing case files.
"How are you feeling?" he questions.
"Better. How about you?"
"Not good. I broke up with Laura. She wasnt happy." Dannys frowning, looking quite upset.
Maria frowns. "Im sorry Danny. It sucks but it will get better,"
He nods. "Do you like being single?"
She thinks. She did before Danny found someone. She thought they would be single together. Seeing him with Laura lately had sent a pain to her chest. She had been single for ages happily. Just in the past month had she started to feel lonely like she wold be alone forever.
"Kind of. Its better for me but it can be lonely,"
"New York is one of the loneliest cities to be single in," he remarks.
She smiles. "Thats for sure,"
Turning back to his work, Danny feels better.
"Oh and Danny?" Maria asks. "Do you have a spare room?"
