They were at home, Mark went to rest in his room, and Lucas was with him. As tired as they came, the couple took a place at the dining table. As the food was prepared by the house helper. They finished their food in total silence. After dinner, Kai got up and took out some old wine from his collection. He poured himself and was enjoying every sip of it. But someone had to break the ice.

Sehun looked at him, "Can we talk?"

Kai gulped and nodded, "Sure?"

"Tell me one thing."

Kai shrugged, "What?"

Sehun folded his hands as his inner detective came to life, "You told me Mark had minor accidents but when I looked at the prescription it was different."

Kai didn't seem to connect the dots, "Yeah, so? You should've asked the doctor."

Sehun proceeded as he took one step forward, "Then, I asked your brother. And guess what?"

Kai finally understood and started to avoid eye contact with him. But Sehun being Sehun. "I'll tell you, he said it wasn't any minor accident. Mark was beaten up and you were informed when you got the call."

Kai nodded, "Yeah, okay. What's your point?"

Sehun huffed, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Kai shrugged, "We were stuck in such a situation."

Sehun sighed, "What about when we were in the car? You could've told me then!"

Kai sighed, "So, all that is bothering you is that I didn't tell the truth, right?"

Sehun nodded, "Yes."

Kai exhaled, "Okay, now you know right? And anyway what's the big deal? Let's end this here."

Sehun was frustrated, "The big deal is that somehow I ended up being your 'lawfully wedded' husband. The big deal is that no one tells me anything!!"

Kai put down his wine as he knew where this was heading. He sighed, "See, even I was kept in the dark about the whole thing. No one told me anything either."

Sehun nodded, "Sure, you didn't know. But it didn't surprise you either."

Kai smiled, "I've seen many things. This is merely a lie told by your parents."

Sehun, "So, us being married doesn't bother you?"

Kai huffed, "Us being fake married didn't bother us, did it?"

Sehun nodded, "So? What should we do?? About this whole 'real marriage' thing?"

Kai picked up his glass and stir the wine, "Anything you want."

Sehun was confused, "What do you mean?"

Kai took the last sip of wine and put the empty glass on the table, "I mean, leave me out of it. You're still young, you can start over at this moment of your life. I'm already in my mid-thirties. Starting over at this point will be useless, at least to me. Whether we stay married or not, I don't have any plans for the future. I'm sure you must have, so choose according to you."

Sehun sat back and thought. He first looked at Kai. As his thoughts began, -Being the one son to heir such big companies. Of course, he was the CEO of a few other companies as well. Taking care of his two younger brothers at this age without a life partner whatsoever. Seriously has no friends. At this point in life, this man doesn't give a fuck about anything but his family. He's already too tired to start over with his ongoing schedule. Even though he has it all, fame, money, and family, he never seems to look a bit happier. People see him as a cold, brutal, no fuck given male but he is just unhappy, emotionless, and tired. Also old. Finally, he admitted he was way older anyway back to point.-
