Kai waited anxiously as the doctors attended to Sehun. Glancing at his phone, he noticed a missed call from Sehun during the time he was poisoned. Despite Kai's instructions to contact Jason, Sehun had called him first.

Shawn sat down next to him and said, "The guys and I searched the entire place, but the man who served the food never actually worked there. How dare he enter my place like that?" As he seethed with anger, he noticed Kai, tense and on edge.

"Don't worry, it wasn't harmful. I know Bunny; he won't directly harm us."

Kai sighed, "That motherfucker is dead."

Shawn was taken aback. "Wow, Kai," he exclaimed, surprised by Kai's use of foul language. "Shawn, I need you to gather all the information on him. Find out what he's up to, why he's here, and where he is. I want a complete rundown on him, understood?"

Shawn gave Tony a look. "You heard him," he said. Without hesitation, Tony sprang into action.

The doctors emerged, saying, "Don't worry, Mr. Kai. Your husband is going to be just fine." Without sparing a second, Kai rushed in while Shawn conversed with the doctors.

Kai hurried in and took his hand. "Sehun," he said. The latter turned, offering a smile. "Hi."

Kai was holding his tears back, "How are you feeling? Do you remember everything?"

Sehun nodded slowly, "Don't worry, Kai. I'm fine, you heard the doctor. It just knocked me out for a bit."

Kai let out a sigh, "I'm so sorry, Sehun. It's because of me..."

"Shush... It was not your fault," Sehun whispered, placing a finger on his lips. Kai smiled, grasped his hand, and subtly kissed it before letting go.

Shawn was on the verge of entering the room when the sight of Sehun sent chills down his spine. "Let me introduce you to Shawn," Kai said as he rose to fetch Shawn, but Shawn had vanished. "Ah, that little rascal, he's gone off without telling anyone again."

"It's okay; we'll meet him at the next magic show," Sehun said with a smile. "Let's go home now, okay?" Kai suggested cautiously.

"Yes. Let's go home."

They took the earliest flight possible and headed home without wasting any moment. Though they expected everyone to be there, to their surprise, it was just the regular staff. Kai escorted Sehun to their room and made him rest, despite the latter's protests of being fine.

Kai then surveyed the house and inquired about the family's whereabouts. His staff informed him that they had all gone to Kate's mall for shopping. Kai was relieved that he didn't have to spend time with his big brother.

Knowing it would take time for them to return, Kai called Jason to meet him at the house. While he was in his personal office going through papers, the invited guest entered.

"May I enter?" Jason asked.

"On time, Jason. Have a seat," Kai replied.

"Judging from the call you made, this is serious. What happened?" Jason's tone was laced with urgency, his mafia mode evident.

"He has come," Kai stated gravely.

"What? Are you sure?" Jason's shock was palpable.

Kai sighed, his expression grim. "I met Shawn on our honeymoon."

"Wow, that surprises me more. Anyway, how's that witch doing? Still into magic?" Kai's lips curled into a slight smile.

"He's never leaving that. Anyway, not only has he entered, but he also tried to hurt us," Kai added, his anger simmering.
