Sehun's eyes widened as the name echoed through the air. "The Baeron Holy Ground... Brother... Isn't it...?" A shiver ran down his spine as the realization dawned on him. "That's..." His voice trailed off, hesitation and fear evident in his trembling tone.
Jason and Shawn exchanged a concerned glance, their faces inches from Sehun's. "What is it?" Jason urged, his voice low and soothing.
Sehun's words spilled out in a rush. "That was Yoonseo and my wedding venue..." The air was heavy with silence, the weight of Sehun's words hanging precariously.
Before anyone could respond, Jason's voice cut through the tension. "We have to go now!!!" The urgency in his tone propelled them into action.
As they sped away in the car, Sehun's mind reeled in shock. Jason's voice broke the silence. "Are you okay?" Sehun's gaze drifted toward Jason, his eyes haunted. "I...ah... No... I'm not. I never thought Yoonseo would do something like this. To kidnap Kai and keep him at the church where we were supposed to get married... It doesn't make sense... Why? Why after all these years? Why now? Why not when I waited for him for years?"
Jason and Shawn exchanged a knowing glance. "I guess it's time you knew the truth," Jason said, his voice measured. "Sehun, you know how Bunny was using you for money... It wasn't just money; it was for your whole family's empire. You were just a pawn to him, a means to destroy your family because of a past feud between his dad and yours."
Sehun's eyes widened as the truth sank in. "Kai went to talk to him, but things escalated, and they got into a fight. Bunny was hurt badly; Kai took him to the hospital, and we kept an eye on him for days. But then he disappeared."
Sehun's voice cracked. "You're saying he's been planning this all along?" Jason nodded grimly. "He fled the country, committed crimes, and ended up in jail. Now he's back, seeking revenge."
Tears streamed down Sehun's face as he struggled to comprehend the betrayal. "How can someone be so pathetic?" The question echoed in his mind, but another, more pressing concern lingered: Why had Yoonseo targeted Kai specifically?
Meanwhile, in the dimly lit church, Bunny sat motionless, his eyes closed, and a gun clutched in his hand. The soft strains of music filled the air, performed by live musicians who played with bated breath. One misstep would be disastrous. As the music faltered, Bunny's eyes snapped open, and he fired, the sound shattering the silence. "You know mistakes can't be undone, right? Well, that's what my father taught me."
As the musician's lifeless body slumped to the ground, the remaining musicians trembled with fear, their hands shaking as they continued to play. Bunny's eyes gleamed with a sinister light, his finger tightening around the trigger.
Bunny's voice was laced with venom, his words dripping with a deep-seated hatred. "You know, Kai, you and Sehun thought you were so perfect, didn't you? With your perfect lives, your perfect families... you never once stopped to think about me."
Bunny's laughter was cold and mirthless. "But I've been thinking about you, Kai. I've been thinking about you for years. And now, it's time for you to pay."
Bunny's voice dropped to a whisper, his words barely audible. "You took everything from me, Kai. My dignity, my pride... my family. And now, I'm going to take everything from you."
The sound of Bunny's breathing was the only sound for a moment, and then he spoke again. "Sehun's going to watch you die, Kai. He's going to watch as I destroy everything he holds dear. And when I'm done with you... I'll move on to him."
Bunny's voice rose to a crescendo, his words dripping with a desire for revenge. "I'll make him suffer, Kai. I'll make him suffer like he's never suffered before. And when I'm done... he'll be nothing but a shell of his former self."
In the car, Sehun's mind reeled with questions. Why had Yoonseo targeted Kai? What had driven him to seek revenge after all these years? The more he thought about it, the more his anger grew.
"We're almost there," Shawn said, his voice low and steady.
Sehun's gaze snapped toward the window, his eyes fixed on the church looming in the distance. A sense of foreboding settled in the pit of his stomach.
As they pulled up to the church, Sehun's heart racing with anticipation. He flung open the door, Jason and Shawn close behind.
"Sehun, wait!" Jason called out, but Sehun didn't hesitate.
He burst through the church doors, his eyes scanning the dimly lit interior. The sound of music filled the air, and Sehun's gaze locked onto the figure sitting in the shadows.
Bunny.
A cold smile spread across Sehun's face as he took a step forward, his eyes fixed on the man who had destroyed his life.
Sehun's gut twisted with anger and fear as he took in the scene before him. Bunny's eyes gleamed with a malevolent intensity, and the glint of something in his hand sent a chill down Sehun's spine. A gun.
The air seemed to thicken, heavy with tension, as Sehun's eyes locked onto Bunny's. For a moment, time seemed to stand still, the only sound of the heavy breathing of the two men.
And then, Bunny's voice cut through the silence, sending shivers down Sehun's spine. "Welcome, Sehun. I've been waiting for you."
The words dripped with malice, and Sehun's heart sank. He knew that he was walking into a trap, but he had to try and save Kai. He steeled himself, his eyes never leaving Bunny's face, and took a step forward.
After a while he entered, he was suddenly enveloped in a warm, golden light. The dimly lit interior was transformed in an instant, as every light in the church flickered to life. The sudden brightness made Sehun shield his eyes, momentarily disoriented.
As his vision adjusted, he was met with a sight that made his heart skip a beat. The church was decorated with white flowers and ribbons adorning the pews and altar. A delicate lace veil hung from the ceiling, casting intricate patterns on the floor.
A chill ran down Sehun's spine as he realized the true extent of Bunny's twisted plan. This wasn't just a kidnapping, or a revenge plot. This was something far more sinister, something that threatened to destroy Sehun's very sanity.
Sehun's eyes widened in shock as he took in the scene before him. It was as if he had stepped into a nightmare, one that was all too familiar. The church, the decorations, it was all so eerily reminiscent of something of their past. Then when he realised, Bunny's not targetting Kai. He seeking revenge on Sehun.
But what shocked Sehun more than anything in this world is when he saw behind Bunny.
"What......" He was left with no words.
