This may be hard for some to read. Please know that you're not alone<3

Your world felt like it was spinning out of control. Work was hectic, and constantly trying to please everyone in your life. You started to neglect your own self.

Julien and you had not seen each other in a few weeks. She had been visiting family and was super busy in the recording studio. She still tried to make time to talk to you on the phone and facetimed you when she could.

Your depression was slowly creeping up on you during those weeks. Showering started to feel like a chore, and you had a mix of clean and dirty clothes scattered on the floor.

Every time you and Julien talked, you masked how you felt. You hid what was going on behind the screen. You didn't want to drag her into this mess. Julien had been there for your depression battles, but you always felt like a burden when she had to see you that way.

It didn't help that you stopped taking your meds.

The thoughts were constant and intense.

You just wanted it all to end.

When Julien was finally back in town, she called you to tell you she was coming over to see you.

No response.

That wasn't like you.

She kept calling you. Over and over. No answer each time. She started to panic as she drove fast down the road.

When she reached your apartment, she used her spare key to let herself in. Opening the door, she could tell by the look of the place that you were not okay.

"Y/N?" She called your name as she walked down the hallway to your room.

You buried your head in the pillow, putting the duvet cover over your head. You didn't want her to find you like this.

There was a knock on your door before she said "baby, I'm coming in."

The door opened and she saw the outline of your body under the duvet. She made her way over to the side you were laying on. Carefully she peeled back the covers to reveal you.

"Oh sweetheart."

The sound of her voice made you break out into tears.

Julien scrambled to get into the bed next to you, bringing you close to her body. You cried into her shoulder as she rubbed your back and played with your hair.

"Shh, it's alright sweetheart. We're going to get through this together."

She hummed softly, continuing to comfort you until you were reduced to sniffles.

She wiped the stray tears that were left on your face and kissed the top of your head, letting her lips linger on your forehead.

You still had a death grip on her shirt, but her holding you was helping.

"Princess, you know that I want to help you. But you need to tell me when you feel like this okay?"

You nodded.

She kissed your head again.

"How about you go shower and I'll make you something to eat." She suggested.

You nodded.

As you showered, Julien set out clean clothes for you to change into and then decided on making grilled cheese as it was your comfort food.

When you made your way out into the kitchen, Julien had placed the grilled cheese on the table with water and your medicine.

As you ate, she sat with you and after you were finished, she washed your dishes for you.

Both of you guys ended up on the couch snuggling. Your head on her chest, legs intertwined and a blanket covering the both of you. The TV was playing friends as you were lulled to sleep by Julien playing with your hair.

She was always going to be there for you.
