Valentines Day

"Fuck, ow." Julien said as she pulled out the pizza that she'd been making for dinner. She had stupidly used a kitchen towel as she couldn't find any oven mitts.

It was Valentine's Day, and Julien wanted to do something special for you. This was the first Valentine's Day the two of you would be spending together. You guys had only been together for about 9 months.

The pizza was a very poorly shaped heart, but it was the thought that counted. Julien earlier had picked up roses from the store and your favorite candy. Her heart-shaped cookies that looked decorated by a preschooler were also sitting on the table.

Julien wanted this day to be perfect for you after you had spent the day at work. She would pamper you with love and affection the second you got home.

It was a little after 5 pm when you walked in the door. You were tired and just ready to go to bed. After kicking off your shoes at the door, you walked down the short hallway and into the kitchen. When you walked into the kitchen, Julien turned around with a huge grin.

"Hi, baby." She said softly, making her way over to you.

Her arms instantly wrapped around you, laying a kiss on your cheek causing you to smile. Any kiss or touch of hers always gave you instant butterflies. Even after spending so much time with her.

"Hi, my love." You said softly. Running your fingers through her soft hair.

"How was your day baby?" She asked softly, letting her hand rest on your cheek.

You nuzzled your head into her hand with a small smile. "Busy, but it was okay. I'm just glad I'm home and get to spend the rest of the night with you."

She smiled softly and then turned her attention to the table.

"Dinner is ready if you're hungry."

You smiled, looking at the kitchen table. Julien had decorated the table with a pink tablecloth with all the goodies she had bought you.

"You seriously didn't need to buy me anything babe." You said softly, smiling at her.

She shook her head. "Yes, I did. You're my world baby."

"I feel bad that I didn't get you anything." You said softly, looking down at the floor. You could feel Julien's eyes on you, and she hooked a finger under your chin to make you look at her.

"Baby, having you is enough, okay? I don't need anything when I have you." Her eyes were filled with love, and she had a soft smile on her face.

You nodded, giving her a small smile as well. She always knew how to make you smile.

Soon the two of you were sitting across from one another, enjoying your pizza dinner.

"You're seriously the best chef." You said as you finished your dinner.

Julien smiled with a soft laugh. "Thank you, baby. I try my best."

You glanced to her one hand resting on the table, noticing that she had small blisters starting to form on her fingers.

"Did you hurt yourself, babe?" You asked, carefully picking her hand up.

Julien laughed softly. "Yeah, I couldn't find the oven mitts so I used a towel."

You raised an eyebrow at her, before carefully bringing her hand up to your mouth to give her fingers delicate kisses. She smiled softly at you.

"What am I going to do with you?" You said with a laugh, holding her hand when you were done with the kisses.

She shrugged with a grin. "You love me."

"Of fucking course, I do." You said with a smile.

After you guys cleaned up from dinner, the two of you got changed into pajamas before cuddling up on the couch.

"What movie do you want to watch love?" Julien asked as she scrolled through the options.

Your head rested on her chest as you watched her scroll through the options. Her arms were wrapped around you and the two of you were warm and cozy under a blanket.

"How about the movie Valentine's Day? It's a classic." You said.

Julien let out a soft laugh. "You just want to watch that because Taylor Swift is in it."

You shrugged with a grin. "She's the best. And it's a good movie."

Julien smiled with a nod. "I agree, she is the best. And it is a good movie."

After turning on the movie, the two of you stayed snuggled up. It wasn't long until you both fell asleep in each other's embrace.

Your Valentine's Day was simple. But it suited the two of you. After all, you guys would be spending many more Valentine's Days in the future.
