You had never been in a really serious relationship before. Never wanting to be close or being able to connect with another individual on a deep level. That was until you met Julien.

There was something different about her. Something that seemed so incredibly special. She was unlike anyone you had ever been around before.

It was awkward the first time you two had met. You had been with your friends when she caught your eye. You tried not to stare, but ultimately couldn't help it. You couldn't help but notice the artwork of tattoos that plastered her body, and that goofy smile she had as she talked with others.

Your friends were teasing you about your little crush on her. Nudging you to go talk to her, yet you were nervous.

For a bit of your life, you had been afraid of being open about your sexuality with others. You had labeled yourself with one that didn't seem quite right, but you were afraid of others' opinions on it. Though, you eventually came out to everyone again as a lesbian and were shocked, and grateful for the support you were given.

Your friends kept nagging you to go up and talk to her and as nervous as you were, you made your way over.

Somehow, your clumsy self tripped over your own two feet, feeling yourself falling forward. But instead of falling to the floor, you were met with soft brown eyes. And gentle arms that were there to catch you.

"You okay?" She asked.

You almost melted at the sound of her voice. Your face was heating up a bit and you knew it was most likely getting a little red. Feeling slightly flustered at the attractive female staring at you.

"Y-yeah."

Somehow from that awkward first moment, you two hit it off. That night spending hours talking with one another and getting to know each other.

You knew she was someone you didn't want to let go. That feeling was one that was foreign to you. You were nervous about where this relationship would be heading. If it would be serious or it would just be a small-time thing.

You quickly learned that this would be no small-time commitment. Within the first week, she was calling you pet names such as "baby" and "darling". Your stomach filled with so many butterflies and you loved every interaction with her.

When talking with her, she knew that she was the first female for you to be involved with. She wanted to be respectful and wanted to go at a pace that you felt comfortable with. She valued your feeling of security and respect.

"You're so beautiful." She said softly one night.

You two were sitting outside on the porch of her home. The moonlight was shining down on the two of you as you sat on the porch swing. The night was calm with a small breeze, feeling quite nice against your warm skin.

Her eyes were on you as you looked to hers. They seemed to be sparkling as they looked into your own. She carefully tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. Her every move seemed quite gentle. She had such a calming effect on you. Sure your heart was beating a bit faster, though you felt safe with her.

"Jules?" You asked softly.

"Yes baby?" Her voice calm and gentle as she cupped your cheek.

Mush. That's how you felt. It was hard to focus on anything but the way she was holding your face.

"Kiss me." You said. Your voice almost sounding needy.

She smiled softly at the request. You two had only been talking for a few days, but this felt so right.

"Are you sure? We don't have to." Julien says softly. She never wanted to push you into something that would make you uncomfortable.

You nod. This was the most sure you had felt about anything.

"Yes, I'm sure."

She nods, carefully leaning in. As her lips met yours, you melted into the kiss. She kept the kiss gentle and sweet, wanting this to be perfect for you. She knew how special this moment was for you.

When you pulled apart, your forehead rested on hers. She tucked another strand of hair behind your ear. Her thumb gently running back and forth on your cheek as you two sat there.

You had a careful hand on her wrist. You didn't want this moment to end as you guys shared this moment of silence.

"Jules?" You asked after a few.

She pulls away slightly to look into your eyes. "Yes baby?"

"I think I'm falling for you." You admit softly.

Saying that out loud was almost a bit shocking to you. Never did you think you'd fall this fast, but then again, lesbians do move fast.

Julien smiled at your comment. Her eyes soft.

"I think I'm falling for you too."

The rest of the night was peaceful and calming as you two sat there together. Julien eventually pulled out her guitar, playing softly as you enjoyed the night together.

This relationship was blooming into one that felt so incredibly special. And she was the only one you wanted.
