My Fault

Date.

After I had gotten my Uber, the drive was going to be about a fifteen minute drive. And I could not lie, I was excited. I hasn't been on a date in so long. And I mean, he was cute. So what more could I want?

'Hey.' I chuckle and pull Gavi into a hug.

'Hi how are you?' Gavi smiles.

'Yeah I'm great. You look nice.' I chuckle.

'Thank you very much. So do you.' Gavi pulls away from the hug.

After taking my seat, me and Gavi ordered some drinks, and decided to talk about our lives.

'So tell me about you. Your life. Anything.' Gavi smiles.

'Well, I recently just finished my current movie. Culpa Mía. And then later this year we're gonna have to film the second and third part. So yeah, I hope that goes the way. And when that project ends, I hope that my career continues. What about you?' I smile.

'Oh wow. Yeah um I watched the movie. It was great. So what about you and um... Gabriel? Anything there or?' Gavi chuckles.

'Um... me and Gabriel. Well, we knew each other way before we found out we were gonna work on Culpa Mia together. I've um... I've played in other things with him. So we did know each other before that. And we kinda just connected.' I chuckle and shrug.

'That's amazing. That's good, it's good that you know, you had history with each other.' Gavi nods.

'Yeah definitely. But now, tell me about you. How's Barcelona? How's the footballer life?' I chuckle.

'Yeah um... Barcelona is good. Barcelona is Barcelona, obviously.' Gavi chuckles. 'But no, yeah football is great. It's my job. It's what I do, and I love it. And I find myself falling in love with it more and more every day. And I couldn't be happier with how my career is going. At this moment in time.' Gavi smiles.

'That's great. And especially because you're so young too. And you know you have your whole life doing something so big. And especially if it's something you enjoy. So that's good. I'm happy for you.' I chuckle.

'Definitely.' Gavi nods.

'So how comes you came to Madrid?' I ask.

'Oh I have a little break from football. So I decided to  take a little trip. And I thought what better place than Madrid?' Gavi chuckles.

'It's the best. It genuinely is.' I chuckle.

Me and Gavi just sat and talked for what felt like a lifetime. And I hoped this could go somewhere. But the only thing on my mind was Gabriel. Only because I know that me and him were getting somewhere, and I didn't want that to be over yet either. But I don't know... we will see.
