The Next Morning:
'Kris, are you okay?' Gavi asks me.
'Huh?' I snap out of my trance.
Gavi gives me a look.
'I'm okay. I'm okay.' I smile.
'Do you miss him?' Gavi asks.
'What?' I widen my eyes.
'Do you ever miss him?'
'Do you want me to lie?' I look at Gavi.
'No.' Gavi looks down.
'Yeah. Yeah I miss him.' I admit.
'Do you want him back?' Gavi asks.
'Are we having a questionnaire?' I chuckle.
'No no.' Gavi laughs. 'I just want to know, so that I can understand everything.'
'I don't know, Gav. Sometimes I feel like I do, sometimes I feel like I don't. I know you probably have a lot of questions, but trust me, so do I.'
'Kris, if you genuinely do want him back, I can help you. I'm assuming we're never gonna work out, but nobody says we can't be friends.' Gavi shrugs.
'That's weird, Gav. Not the friends part. The helping me get back with him.' I chuckle.
'It's only weird if you make it weird.' Gavi laughs.
I chuckle and look down.
'So what you saying? You in?' Gavi asks.
'I'm in.' I chuckle.
