Chapter 03 - Terrarium Assignment

Nanon's POV

"Today, we'll continue our lesson from yesterday..." the teacher, mr. Arm explained. After the whole fiasco yesterday, I wanted to just skip school and holed up in my room playing video game. I wanted to forget about it.  But, I have to set a good example for my dorm, that eventhough we're powerless, we could get good grades. We're still capable of holding weapons and used them properly. I spaced out. "I know about your secret." The bad guy's words still echoed in my head. Someone poked me from behind. "Nanon, mr. Arm's calling you." Huh? I immediately stood up. "Yes sir?" Mr. Arm looked at me like I lost my mind. "Why are you standing up?" The whole class looked at me like I lost my mind. I turned around. Ohm. Shit. I fell into his prank. "I'm sorry." I apologized. I sat down again, feeling super embarrassed. He giggled. I turned around and gave him my middle finger. "Mr. Arm, Nanon made a bad gesture." He told the teacher. What the fuck. "Nanon, that's not a nice thing to do. Apologize to Ohm, now." he ordered. "But, but... he..." "no buts, apologize right now or I'm going to send you to detention." He crossed his arms. "Fine." I turned around. "I'm so sorry." He smiled so big, no doubt he's happy he could do this to me. I shook my head and turned back to my seat.

"Okay, before we dismissed the class, let's talk about your assignment for next week. This is a very easy task." Mr. Arm told us. "You guys are going to do a project, a simple one, actually. I need you guys to make a terrarium. Easy, right? And to make it easier, you guys are going to do it in pairs." Okay, I'm going to do it with Sea. "Except for the Greys, you guys need to do the assignment with the other houses." Oh shit. "Now, your terrarium will be judged by the appearance, and how many species you can fit in a small jar. And as a Green myself, I know a lot of species, and how to make a good terrarium." He winked. "Class dismissed, see you next week." He left the class. Some of the guys immediately surrounded me, asking me to be their partner. I don't know how to turn them down. 

Ohm's POV

So, we have to do the assignment in pairs. Hmm, who should I paired up with? I looked at Nanon. He sat on his desk, surrounded by people. No doubt, they wanted him to be their partner. I mean, he's easy on the eyes like that, with a brain like that, he's definitely not a bad choice. I got a little bit jealous, I wanted to pair up with him too. Suddenly, I've got an idea. I snuck up behind him and hugged him from behind. "Sorry guys, this one is already taken. By me." I smiled and covered his mouth so he couldn't protest. The others tssked and left in disappointment. They know they won't win against me. I let him go after a while. He untangled himself from me. "Ohm, are you fucking crazy?" He stood up and started leaving. I followed suit. "Come on, it's going to be fun." I walked beside him. "No, it won't. This is a serious assignment. I don't have time to play around with you." He tried to walk faster. "Don't worry, I take assignments very seriously too. You have nothing to worry about. We're gonna crush this." I pumped up my fist. "But, what about Mix?" He asked me. Huh? "What about him? I don't want to pair up with him. Come on Nanon, it'll be fun. I promise." I offered my hand. He sighed. "Okay, fine. Let's do this." He shook my hand and nodded. "Okay, let's discuss our plan over lunch." I dragged him to the cafetaria.

Nanon's POV

This is bad for my heart. Not only I have to think about the assignment, but I have to work with him. Not that I don't like it. But God, I hope my heart is strong enough to take it. My crush for him has grown strong lately. I wanted him to look at me, but I know he's in a relationship with Mix. Or having a crush on him, I guess. We ended up having lunch together, just the two of us. "Wait, why do you think I was about to do the assignment with Mix?" He suddenly asked me. I stopped chewing my food. I swallowed my food while thinking about how to answer the question. "I thought you are in a relationship with him." I told him. "Huh? No, I don't. Mix is my best friend, but I'm definitely not in a relationship with him. That's a huge no. I'm totally single." He laughed. "Well, from the way I see it, Mix must've had a crush on you. That's for sure." I'm sure of it. "Eecckk, you're wrong again. That's a definite no too. Mix has a crush on someone else." He told me. "Oh, yeah? Who?" Now, I'm curious. "I'm not gonna tell you. I won't betray Mix like that." He pretended to zip his lips, lock it and throw away the key. I pretended to catch the key and opened his lips with it. We laughed. "Haha, nice try. Still not going to tell." He stuck his tongue out. But I felt so relieved that turns out he's not in a relationship with anyone.
