Chapter Z-06 - ToyPluem - Proof It!

Several Weeks Later...

Toy's POV

"Dad invited us to dinner." Pluem suddenly said. It was Sunday afternoon. We were having a lazy Sunday, me reading some online fitness magazine, and Pluem taking care of his plants. I looked up from my magazine. "Your dad?" He nodded. "Invited us?" He nodded again. "Us? As in you and I, us?" I had to make sure. "Yes, he invited us. He also invited my brothers and their boyfriends." Okay, this is a very big deal. I took a deep breath. "Are you sure? I mean, your dad hates my guts." I remembered the first meeting at the cafe where he glared at me. And then the next one was even worse. We met when I went to pick up Pluem from his work. We stood at the lobby in silent, totally not awkward at all. I tried so hard to think of any topic that could help me bond with my, hopefully, father in law to be. You can practically heard the gears in my head trying so hard to come up with a topic."Sir, your physique is amazing." I tried complimenting him. "I worked out five times a week." He responded. And then we went back to total silent. Come on Pluem, just come out of your office already. Now, please. "I know about your son's power." I blurted without thinking. He turned to me and frowned. "You what?" He looked at me like I lost my mind. "I know about your power too." I continued ruining the situation. "Are... are you threatening me?" I dropped my jaw. "No... No... I... No..." I lost my words. "I hate you because you broke Pluem's heart. And now you're threatening me to blow our secret. Are you for real?" He got it wrong. So totally wrong. "Sir, you got it wrong. I don't want to blackmail anyone. God. I just want to have a conversation with you. Please don't get the wrong idea. I love Pluem, and I won't leave him again. I don't want to threaten anyone..." I ranted. I was about to say something else, when I saw Pluem got out of his office. Oh thank God. "Pluem, you're here." I tried to deescalate the situation. "Pluem, your boyfriend just threatened to blow our secret. Can you believe it?" I dropped my jaw. "Dad, what are you talking about? P'Toy won't do things like that." Pluem defended me. "Sir, I never meant to threaten you. Please believe me." I was about to say something else, but he said goodbye to Pluem. "Pluem, my driver's here. I'm gonna head out." He glared at me, shook his head, and left. I went back to my reality. Okay, this is a very big deal. I'll try to make a very good impressions. I'll make him like me, so he's going to give his blessing to us. "P'Toy, it's totally fine if you don't want to go. I know the pressure is too big. I totally understand if you say no." Pluem looked worried. "Nope. Not gonna happen. I'll face him and everyone." I tried so hard to look confident, eventhough in my mind I'm super scared. Can I survive the hurricane?

Evening came, and off we go to our dinner with Pluem's parents and brothers. We arrived at the fancy restaurant, and Pluem's parents already arrived. We approached them. "Toy, I haven't seen you in a very long time." Toy's mom shook my hands. She's one of the warm ones, and the nicest one too. A complete opposite of his dad. "Good evening mrs.Yui. Good evening mr.Leo. It's so nice to see you again." I greeted them. Pluem's dad just glared at me. The other party arrived and I greeted them too. "P'Toy, let me introduced you, this is my boyfriend, Nanon." Ohm introduced me. "Hi, nice to meet you." I shook his hand. I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back. Nanon is cute, and I had to admit that Ohm and Nanon looked perfect together. New and his boyfriend, the one who ordered us to ran away, also arrived. New introduced me to him, and his name is Tay. They all have power, except for Nanon, but still.. I'm the only human here. I'm going to blend in, that's for sure. We sat down and ordered the food, and chatted while waiting for it. "So, I'm not going to beat around the bush anymore." Mr.Leo suddenly said. "Toy here knows about our secret, that we are Power Human." Everyone dropped their jaws, me and Pluem included. He ratted me out. "Now, what should we do about it?" He asked no one in particular. "In action movie, we usually killed that kind of guy, the one who knows the secret." New joked, or at least I hoped he's joking. "Nah, too much inconvenience. We have to hide the body, and the police, and his family. I'd say we blackmail him into keeping our secrets. Come on Toy, spill us your secret that you don't want anyone to know. Make it even. Eye for an eye." Tay tried to negotiate. I tried to think of some secret, but I don't have any secret that is so dark I can't share with the rest of the world. "Or he can drink PowOn, and turned into one of us." Ohm suddenly said. Nanon slapped his arm. "Don't joke about it like that." Nanon scolded Ohm. He turned to me. "No, you can't drink PowOn. It's dangerous, and you can die. Seriously, the chance of you dying is bigger than you turning into a Power Human. Not worth it. And there is no PowOn left anyway. It got extinct after we took care of it." He explained. I nodded. I don't want to die. "Guys, please. I can keep the secret. Your secret is safe with me." I tried to convince them. "Yeah, that's proven wrong. You can't even keep my secret." New countered. "But.. but.. that was a funny one. This is a serious one. It's different. Trust me. Please." I won't give up. "Hmm... maybe..." Nanon started talking. We all turned to him. "Maybe... i can ask my friends from the Purple House to make some kind of drugs to not spill a secret...?" He looked not sure. "I don't know, but maybe they have one. Sometimes Purple has some of the freakiest drugs that you can't think of." We all frowned. "Seriously, they even have a drugs to turn someome back into a five year old. Scary, right?" He shuddered. "But the effects were temporary. You're the living proof." Ohm laughed. "It's funny as long as you're not the one drinking the drugs." Nanon pouted. "Guys, focus." Pluem scolded them. "I'm going to ask Mix, but it's going to take time, I guess." Ohm typed on his phone. Seconds later, his phone chimed. He looked at his phone. "Oh, Mix said he couldn't do it. His crockpot is still broken. He ordered a new one, but this one took longer to be ready." Ohm raised his shoulders. "Yeah, once again, still so sorry about that." Tay suddenly said. What's that about? I was about to ask, but the food arrived and we started eating.
