The car pulling to a stop was what woke me from my sleep. My eyes slowly opened as I looked around in confusion. For a split second I thought I was back with the shadows and Graves, but when I saw the back of my brother's head, I realised that I was safe.
Once we had made it out of the town and away from the shadows, I had quickly fallen asleep, my body was exhausted from the ordeal I had just gone through and I needed a moment to rest.
Ghost and Johnny opened up the doors and stepped outside the vehicle. I sighed softly and followed them. My arm suddenly started to throb as I pushed the car door open, but I pushed it aside and stepped out onto the grass. The sun was starting to peak up over the horizon, casting a calm morning light over the grassy fields.
I looked around and took in our surroundings, there was a tree with a tire swing attached to it. Behind the tree was a large stone house, it looked like it had been untouched for a while, which was good for us.
"Where are we?" Johnny asked as we walked up to the house.
"Alejandro's safehouse. Gave me the location just in case." Ghost replied
"Why didn't he tell me?" Johnny asked
"It was need to know." Ghost said
"What if I needed to know?" Johnny argued but Ghost shushed him.
"Stay behind us." Johnny said over his shoulder as we approached the door. I wanted to retaliate but I kept quiet and did what he said. It's not like I'm armed and ready to fight after all.
Ghost knelt down on the ground in front of a slab of wood, Johnny followed his motions and knelt down as well. I watched over their shoulders as they examined the wood.
"Pressure plate." Johnny stated
"Alejandro rigged it." Ghost said
"Smart bastard." Johnny sighed
Ghost then looked up at the wall. "There." I followed his gaze and spotted an open window, one that we could easily slip through.
Johnny and Ghost stood up and walked over to the window. "We'll go in first, you stay here." Johnny said as he grabbed a hold of the edge and vaulted over the wall.
Ghost then grabbed a hold of the side and pulled himself up. He perched on the windowsill and watched for any threats. I held my breath as I waited for something to happen.
"Don't move." Ghost suddenly said as he brought his arm back and threw a knife Into the room. My eyes widened as I heard the knife hit something solid. A voice then followed after, a man speaking in Spanish.
"Rodolfo!" Johnny said happily
"Soap! Ghost! You're alive!" The man replied. I felt the tension leave my body at that, it was someone they knew.
"Affirmative." Ghost spoke in his deep voice
Ghost then turned around and looked down at me. He silently held his hand out to me. I looked up at him for a moment before I grabbed a hold of his gloved hand and allowed him to help me get up. The man pulled me up onto the windowsill like I weighed nothing. He then jumped down onto the ground of the barn and turned around to look at me.
I smiled lightly and pushed myself off of the window ledge. I landed on the hay covered floor with a slight thud. That jump wasn't too high after the two story stunt we pulled earlier that night.
"Good to see you, amigos." Rodolfo said.
Johnny replied to the man in Spanish, causing me to raise my brow, I didn't know that he even spoke Spanish. Rodolfo then locked eyes on me, his eyes widened slightly as he looked over my form. I knew that I must look a right mess in my wet pajamas and oversized stolen jumper.
