An unburied Grave

I raised my head up off of Simon's bare chest to check the alarm clock on his bedside table. It was 4:46 am, and our helicopter was taking off at 5:30. This meant I didn't have much time to try and sneak back to my room and get ready. I turned my head back to the blond who was sleeping beside me. His expression was pulled into one of peace, which was not something I had ever seen on him, but something that he suited.

I carefully sat up in bed, trying my hardest not to wake him, his alarm was bound to go off any minute now. I pulled the covers off of myself and stood up, my bare feet hitting the cold floor. I knelt down to collect my clothes off of the floor, having to search around a little to find each article that had been haphazardly flung in our urgency last night. I pulled my clothes back on and tried to smoothen my hair out as I opened his door and backed out into the hallway.

I looked up after I carefully closed his door only to be met with a fully dressed, wide eyes Gaz. My heart stuttered and my eyes wide red as well. "Don't tell Johnny." I said slowly in a low tone.

"Did you two...?" Gaz trailed off

"Gaz. Please." I pleaded with him

An amused look shone in his eyes as his gaze flickered to my neck and then back up to my eyes. He then placed his hand over his heart and mimed zipping his mouth shut. "Your secret's safe with me, flygirl."

"Thank you." I said with a sigh of relief. "Johnny can not know."

"Johnny can't know what?" My brother's voice suddenly came from behind me. I tensed up and spun on my heels, coming face to face with him. His arms were crossed and he was leaning up against the wall.

"Nothing." I said, my voice sounding a little strained

"Nothing my ass." He said.

"I've got to get ready." I said as I began to walk back to my room, heading quickly towards my door.

"Why are you walking around base in your pajamas anyway?" Johnny asked

"Sleep walking." I called back

"You don't sleep walk?" Johnny called out

"I do now." I replied as I opened my bedroom door and stepped inside, quickly shutting it behind me and leaning my back against the metal. I sighed heavily and scrunched my face up. I don't know how I'm going to face Simon today. I don't even know what just happened, if that was just a moment of weakness for him or if it meant something more, like it did for me.

The helicopter ride out to Laswell was...awkward, to say the least. Gaz kept glancing between Simon and I with an amused expression, Johny wouldn't stop looking at me with suspicion, Captain Price had no clue of what was going on, and Simon...well Simon hadn't done much.

He hadn't been actively ignoring me, but he hadn't been acting like anything happened either. I don't know what to do or what to think. Maybe it really didn't mean anything to him, but in the moment it felt like it had meant everything. So I have been left with my mind spinning.

The helo landed just outside of a airplane hangar and the five of us hoped out of the vehicle, making our way over to Laswell and Nikolai who were standing waiting for us.

"How you holding up?" Price asked as he approached Laswell

"Still here." She replied. He placed his hand on her arm and she did the same.

"My brothers..." Nikolai said happily as he gave Gas a one armed hug.

"How ya doing', comrade?" Price asked him
