"Jb!' Avery yells rushing in the house she walks to the pool table seeing a letter.
"Guys." She says picking it up and reading it.
"I invite you to play a round of Gryphons and Gargoyles. The outcome of which will determine Princess Jellybean's fate." Avery reads from the letter setting it down.
"Hey. Why's the door wide open?" Gladys asks walking inside.
"What's wrong? Where's Jb?" Gladys asks.
"She was taken." Avery says
"By the Gargoyle King, and his loyal servant Kurtz." Jughead says handing her the letter.
"We have to find that son of a bitch." Gladys says.
"Find him? He's in the back of my cruiser." Fp says walking outside then shortly after he brings Kurtz inside.
"Where the bell is my daughter?" Gladys asks after punching Kurtz, he doesn't respond.
"Tell me or I'll kill you right here right now." Gladys says.
"Where are you keeping her Kurtz?" Fp asks.
"With an associate. Being very well taken care of." He says, Gladys let's go of him and Avery sirs on the couch behind Kurtz putting her feet up on the chair by his head.
"He's not gonna tell us." Jughead says.
"Accept the invite to play. Let's see if you can bring Jellybean home." Kurtz says.
"He's crazy. How can we believe anything he has to say." Fp says when the gather in the kitchen.
"I've played this game enough to know that guys like Kurtz are completely devoted to the Gargoyle King and his rules. If we play and we win, we can get Jellybean back." Jughead says, Avery hears something down stairs.
"Sweet Pea." She whispers before running downstairs.
"Baby, you need to leave" she says.
"What why?" He asks.
"Because, Kurtz is upstairs and he took Jb so we have to play G&G with him, but you need to go." She says taking his face in her hands.
"What no you need to be safe" he says.
"I am, I have my guardian Angel so don't worry" She says kissing him.
"Okay call me when your done" he says, she nods and he leaves. She goes back upstairs to the living room.
"We'll agree to your terms. We'll play." Jughead says.
"Of course you will. First your avatars." Kurtz says after setting up the game.
"Mr. jones you will be Deadeye. Like in high school. Jughead, you will remain the Hellcaster. Mrs. Jones you'll be the Alchemist. And Avery your the Black Snake made specifically for you" Kurtz says handing everyone their character cards.
"Deadeye, your up first" Kurtz says giving him die which he rolls.
"You've reached your first challenge. It's called 'Cards on the table'. Inside two of these pouches is a white marble inside the third is a black one. If you chose the black you must reveal your secret." Kurtz says setting the pouches on the table.
"Call it what you want we've been playing 'Secrets and Sins' since high school." Fp says.
"Literally in the house next door" Avery says.
"Alchemist why don't you begin." He says, she picks up a pouch shaking a black marble in her hand.
"Be honest. The King already knows your darkest truths." Kurtz says.
