Jughead and Avery head down to the police station and Jughead is yelling at Sheriff Keller.
"He's gonna get charged with tampering with evidence, obstruction of justice, mishandling a body, perjury and that's just off the top of my head. He's not getting out anytime soon." Keller says.
"Jug let's go" Avery says they walk out and sleeping in Archie's garage.
~A few days later~
Avery wakes up gets dressed and brushes her hair before putting on mascara and brushing her teeth.
"We are going to Southside High" Jughead says tossing Avery her backpack a smile forms on her face.
"Let's go I'm driving" she says grabbing her keys and getting on her motorcycle she drives them both to Southside High and they go through security, they head to the cafeteria where so serpents gather around them. Avery knows them and greets them all when Archie, Betty, and Veronica walk in.
"Jug....Avery" Betty says.
"What are you guys doing here?" Jughead asks, the group walks outside, Cheryl texts Avery.
Cheryl: thanks for everything you've done for me. I'm going to be with Jason now.
Avery: Cheryl? What does that mean?
Avery gets on her motorcycle and drives to Sweetwater River and she see's Cheryl on the ice and walks out to her.
"Cheryl don't do this" Avery tries seeing Cheryl hitting the ice.
"I need to" she says, Avery leans down sitting next to Cheryl.
"You don't, let's just go home" Avery says.
"Cheryl?" Archie calls out seeing them together.
"Cheryl please!" Veronica says Cheryl stands up and Avery wraps and arm around her waist and puts another on Cheryl's arm.
"Just come to the shore and we'll figure this out together okay?" Veronica yells, Cheryl cries.
"Come on we got this, let's just walk" Avery says, Cheryl nods but before they could walk the ice breaks causing them both to fall under Avery still holding onto Cheryl's waist. Everyone runs to where the girls fell moving the snow.
"The current has them." Jughead says, Archie finds both girls and begins punching through the ice pulling both girls out.
"Cheryl?" Avery shivers still holding onto Cheryl while Archie performs CPR and she spurs the water out, he carries her back to shore while Jughead supports Avery.
"I'm going to my friends" Avery mutters, Jughead nods before letting her go on her motorcycle.
"Avery what happened?" Toni asks wrapping her arms around Avery who is sitting in Toni's bed.
"A friend of mine broke through the ice over Sweetwater and I was with her trying to help her but we fell through" Avery mutters, Sweet Pea and Fangs bring extra blankets for her.
"Thank you" she says with a small smile.
"Your brother took the jacket" fangs says, Avery looks up and smiles.
"I knew he would" she says with a small laugh, she heads to bed with Toni next to her, Sweet Pea and Fangs sleep on the floor.
~The next morning~
Incoming call: Betty Cooper
"Hello?" Avery asks answering the call.
"Avery get to the hospital Mr. Andrews has been shot Archie needs us" Betty says, Avery quickly gets up and changes grabbing her Serpent jacket.
