On the Sunday before the first day of school Han asks you to come outside. You walk out running your eyes and when you open them you're shocked. A car. It's a cute little white four door sedan that's definitely used but in good condition. Nothing like Rey's truck.

"Is it for me?"

"We don't live on a bus route, it'll be easier for you to get to school. "

"Wow, thanks." You say.

"But you're paying gas, so get a job. I've booked your N test."

"Okay. Thanks." You say as he hands you the keys .

"It's Tuesday. I'll drive you on Monday."

That night you go on indeed and apply to a few part time job postings.

Unfortunately you don't have any time to check your email that week. You're swamped with scjoolwork and are exhausted. All you think about is school. The only bright side is you pass your test, just barely, but pass nonetheless.

When you check on Saturday, the job of your dreams pops up. Part time at a small independent cafe.

The interview goes well and you're hired for every Saturday.

A month passes and uni is not what you thought it would be. But busy is good, as it leaves little time to think of Ben.

You do, however feel lonely when you see your new friends with their boyfriends. One of your friends tries to set you up with her boyfriends buddy.

"I don't think so." You tell her.

"He's cute and you're single. Why not?"

Cause you're waiting for Ben.

"I'm swamped with classes. I don't really have time."

"Well, what about a FWB?"

You wouldn't be able to, not with Ben forever on your mind.

"I'll think about it. I'm gonna go home."

"Okay, see ya tomorrow!" She says and waves goodbye.

When the semester nearly is over without any word from Ben you grow antsy. What if you never see him again?

So, over dinner after work you bring him up.

You stab a piece of lettuce, "Um, have you heard from Ben?"

Han clears his throat and you chew, "he's doing well, I believe."

So Han is spoken to him but you haven't. When you got your phone back all your contacts and conversations were wiped. And Ben doesn't have social media.

"Well, what is he doing?"

"He's busy." Is all Han replies.

You drop your utensils and stand up. "I'm not hungry anymore."

"You've barely touched your food." Mom says.

Before you would've  spat back an insult but you hold your tongue.

"I'm tired. I'm going to bed."

You take your plate to the kitchen and pack your uneaten food in a Tupperware container before loading the dishwasher.

You lock yourself in your room watching tv on your iPad until you hear Han alarm the house.

Then, you sneak downstairs and into the kitchen where the landline is. You try Ben's number which you memorized, but it says "not in service". He's changed his number.

So, you call each number on call history.

Most of them go to voicemail and you hang up and try the next. Finally, after ten tries someone answers.
