Liberty:
Today is the day my step-dad,Robert,and Calum move in,oh joy.
I flung my black backpack on my shoulder.
"Why you going early Hun?" I heard my moms voice speak.
I turned around and sighed.
"Because I am mom." I said with no emotion.
"You're not going to school today?" My mom made herself towards me.
"Why not?" I frowned at her.
"You need to help the boys." My mom dusted my shoulder.
"Are you for real?" I raised one eye brow in disgust.
"Yes love I'm for real," she took my bag off my shoulder and hung it up. "They'll be here in an hour" she smiled at me.
I stood at the door with a blank look on my face. Now I'd rather be at school then here.
"Come on, you can help me clear out the spare room which will be Calum's" she took my hand and walked upstairs.
The room was bigger than mine and he had double bed.
What the shit?
"Okay,can you put the bed sheets on his bed please?" She smiled at me and handed me blue sheets.
"Why can't he do it?" I sighed.
"Because it's nice to do things for others" she smiled at me,dusting the mirror.
"Alright.." I muttered under my breath.
It took me 10 million hours to put the sheets on,goddamn who knew shit like that was hard to do.
After I did that challenge,I put his closet in the corner and put his TV on the wall.
We spent an hour doing his room until the door bell went. I was sat in the living room texting Sam.
"LIBERTY GET THE DOOR" my mom shouted from the kitchen.
I rolled my eyes and got up and walked to the door. I opened it to see Calum with a box and a suitcase. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with black jeans which was ripped on the knees with black converses.
"Hey!" He smiled at me.
"Hi" I got out of the way for him to walk past.
"Here,I'll take that" I took the box off of him.
"Thanks Liberty" he smiled at me.
Robert walked in with 2 boxes.
"I'll show you to your room" I weakly smiled at him as I carried the box upstairs.
I got to his room and put the box on his desk. I sat on his bed to catch my breath.
He walked in the room and put the suitcase down.
"Oh my god are you okay?" He kneeled down in front of me.
I nodded and closed my eyes. I have asthma. I get out of breath over the most stupid of things.
"Shall I get someone?" He panicked.
"Calum...I'm okay" I looked down at him.
He smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Want me to help you unpack?" I stood up.
"If you want to yeah.thanks" he smiled at me and placed his suitcase on his bed.
I secretly rolled my eyes and turned to the box and got on my tip toes. I'm a small person so.. Heheh.
I opened the box to 2 picture frames.
One was of the band. I picked that one up and put it on his shelf.
I picked up the other one. It had him,his dad and his mom.
I laughed as I dusted the picture.
"What's up?" Calum turned to me.
"Your moms pretty" I smiled at the picture and put it on the shelf next to the other picture frame.
"Yeah..she was" he smiled at the picture.
"Shit I miss her" he shook his head.
"I'm..I'm sorry." I fiddled with my jacket sleeves.
"It's okay,you didn't say anything bad" he laughed and went back to his suitcase.
There was other things in the box like awards and candles (what a girl) and hats and beanies. I picked up the empty box and threw it on the floor.
"WHAT YOU DOING?!" Calum playfully shouted at me.
"It's..empty?" I frowned.
He picked up the box and took out a guitar pic.
"This is my one and only" he put it on the shelf.
"Oh god" I rolled my eyes.
I fiddled in my pocket.
"This is why I keep mine safe" I took out my guitar pic.
"You play?!" His face lit up.
I nodded.
"LIBERTY AND CALUM! CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE?!" I heard mom shout.
We both ran downstairs to mom and Rob trying to move the oven in the kitchen.
"What..are you doing?" I laughed as I stood at the doorway.
Calum lightly nudged mom out of the way and picked up the oven with rob. A neck vain poped out. I was just staring at this thing..what.. it was waving at me
They moved it to the corner of the room.
"Thanks Calum love" my mom spoke.
"What about me?" I asked.
"What did you do?! Apart from stare at Calum?" She laughed.
"What? I was not?!" I looked at Calum.
He was laughing.
"Don't laugh?!" I smacked his arm.
"Whaaaat?" He laughed again.
I rolled my eyes.
"Can I go back to school now?" I asked.
"N-" my mom said.
"Sure you can Hun" Rob said.
"Have you finished un-packing Calum?" My mom said.
He nodded.
"You can go with her if you want?" Rob said.
"Sure" Calum smiled.
I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.
"LIBERTY!" I heard someone run after me,followed by Calum.
"Hi" I laughed.
"You've been in this school for a long time,you don't need my guidance" I said,walking.
"I know that,I just thought I'd walk with my sister?" He laughed.
I stopped walking and stood In front of him.
"I'm not your sister,you're not my brother..we're not related. So stop" I poked his chest. Then walked away.
