Ch. 7 My Everything

Peeta POV:

"Peeta can I talk to you for a second?" Delly asks

I nod and she takes my hand, no fireworks ever go off while I'm with her. My mind flashes back to when my lips were locked with Katniss's. I remember the fireworks going off, I remember the tingling sensation, it was magical.

"Peeta! Hello?" Delly waves a hand in my face

I must of been thinking for a long time.

"Yes?" I finally say

"What were you thinking about?" Asks Delly

"Umm," I try to make up a sentence

"I knew it! You were thinking about Katniss, it's always her." She throws her hands up in the air as a signal of frustration and jealousy

"Why do you care?" I argue

"I don't." She spits

"Yes you do."

"No I don't."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yeah you do."

"Okay maybe I do, this is why I want you to stay away from her." She states

"Why do I have to do what you say?" I argue again

"Because your my boyfriend." Says Delly

"What if I'm not your boyfriend anymore?" I say

"Don't you dare." She says in anger

"Ok, you know what, I am breaking up with you!" Delly tells me

I slam the dorm room shut and dash outside. I don't know where I'm going but I need to get my mind off of things right now.

Katniss POV:

I lean on a tree, not just any tree but the tree my dad used to take me to when he sang, the birds will go quiet just to hear his voice. All the birds are very chirpy right now but I just block them out with my cries. I just want to be with Peeta. People might just say, 'then just go to Peeta' It's not that easy, he has Delly. Delly doesn't have nightmares that wake up Peeta. I might as well give up on love. I never knew that love would be my first priority in college. My train of thought is interrupted by footsteps coming close to me. The sound of the crushing leaves get closer and stronger. I stop crying and my tears on my cheeks still remain.

"Peeta?" I finally make out the figure that is standing right in front of me, crying

He doesn't respond, he just takes a seat next to me on the tree.

"What happened?" I question looking at his watery eyes

"Delly and I broke up." States Peeta and cracks his voice

"Why are you crying?" Peeta questions

"No reason." I mumble lying

"Stop lying, can you just tell me." He says desperately

"Fine, you want to know why? I cry because your with Delly, I cry because I can never have someone like you, I cry because all I want to do is be with you, and I cry because every day I am falling but don't think someone would finally notice and catch me." I admit sobbing

He stands there speechless for a while but then he tucks a piece of my hair behind my ear. He then leans in and now we only have small gap between us. Peeta closed the gap and instantly, firecrackers go off in my stomach, my whole body is being filled with a tingly sensation. Peeta takes hold of my waist and is trying to pull me closer to him.

He starts kissing my neck, which somehow make me weak but I finally notice what's happening and pull away,

"Peet stop." I demand

"Why?" He groans and is trying to go back to what he was doing

"You just broke up with Delly, you can't move on that easily." I try to make a point

"Fine, but only if you will go on a date with me." Smirks Peeta

"Ok ok now let's go they might be wondering where we are." I stand up and clean my pants

I am about to walk away but I am grabbed my the wrist and turned around,

"I can finally say that you're all mine." He whispers in my ear and wraps his arms around my waist

Third Person:

Fate finally brought these two together but there are obstacles that might bring them apart...
