Katniss POV:

Right now, Foster and Delly are in the restrooms somewhere in the mall. Currently, I am sipping on my drink while looking around the area at Starbucks. My eyes land on Peeta who looks like he is thinking really hard about something.

"Peeta?" I ask him

No answer.

"Peeta?" I raise my voice slightly higher to catch his attention

"Huh?" Peeta finally answers

"What were you thinking about?" I question curiously

"Umm, well Katniss can I talk to you?" He asks nervously

This must not be good because he usually never gets nervous.

"Uh yeah you are talking to me right now so..." I reply anxiously waiting for what he is going to say

"I think I like Delly." He blurts

My heart breaks into two. This feels like the day my father died. My tears are ready to come down sooner or later but I have to stop it, if my father was here he would tell me to stay strong. That's exactly what I'm going to do.

"Umm okay." I try to avoid a crack in my voice

"Wait you're cool with that?" Peeta questions a little shocked

"I mean this your life I can't do anything to stop you." I tell him casually even though I am falling apart inside

"Katniss you still know we're best friends right?" Peeta reassures

"Yeah, best friends." I repeat

A tear accidentally slips from my eyes. I quickly wipe it away do Peeta won't see it, I hope he didn't.

"I'm sorry Katniss." Peeta says pitying me

"No it's fine, I'm fine." I try to say as brave as I can

He is about to say something but Delly and Foster are walking to us,

"What did we miss?" Delly asks sitting next to me

"Oh nothing." I say flashing a fake smile

"Delly can I talk to you?" Peeta asks

"Of course." She nods

They walk out Starbucks, that leaves Foster and I alone.

"Hey." He grins

"Hi." I mumble looking down at my Vans

"What's wrong?" Foster asks seriously

"Nothing." I say but cracking my voice

"Tell me." Says Foster

"What if someone you thought was perfect choses someone else, how would you deal with it?" I ask him

"Wait, did Peeta, you know reject you?" Foster asks carefully

"Yeah." I sigh leaning on my chair

"I'm sorry." Foster says pitying me

"Can everybody just stop saying sorry, It's not even your fault." I tell Foster

Foster still stays silent.

"Sorry, I just hate it when people pity me." I apologize

"It's okay. I think we should head back now, it might help if you sleep a little. You know to get your mind off of everything." Foster suggests

"Ok, let's go get Peeta and Delly." I agree

Just in time Delly and Peeta walk in.

"We're heading out now." I notify them and they nod
