"Hey there...Nate." He greeted as he stood by the door.

I stepped back a bit and looked down at the floor, "Wh-what are y-you d-doing he -"

"Who's at the door?" Caleb called, probably because he didn't hear my mom's voice.

Axel invited himself in, and I didn't even stop him, I just stood there wondering how to act. What to do.

He turned into the living room and saw Caleb, who glared at him while gritting his teeth.

"Axel, you fuc-"

"Hey, calm down." Axel cut him off as he made his way to a couch and sat down. "Hear me out first."

I walked slowly into the room and went toward Caleb.

"Better start explaining now, or else..." He threatened.

I put a hand on his shoulder to get him to calm down. As it was, he was angrier than me, the victim, and I felt that didn't have to be. It made me feel bad for worrying him about it.

He huffed and sat on the couch opposite Axel. I just sat beside him and clenched my fists.

He's here now, isn't that what you wanted?

I could feel Axel's gaze on me as I shifted in my seat. He had begun explaining the whole night, what led up to the picture, and what happened after that.

...Last night...

Axel, Bella, and their parents were all seated at a restaurant. They both sat at different tables while still being watched by their parents.

"I want to leave so bad..." Axel groaned, "It's so suffocating."

"Hey, don't say that," Bella whined, "I'll be all alone then, and we both know how much I hate that."

Axel looked over at her and sighed.

"Bel, I have a boyfriend." He said sternly. "I've told you about this. You've literally even seen him!"

Bella sighed and brought her fork up to her mouth to take a bite.

"I know..." she muttered, "that's the issue.."

"Did you say something?" Axel asked.

"N-No, nothing."

Bella raised her glass of juice and handed a glass of wine of the same colour to Axel, who accepted it with no suspicion.

"Cheers?" She suggested.

"Cheers." Axel drank the wine in one gulp and looked over at Bella.

"What's this?" He asked.

"Why?"

"It tastes different."

"It's apple cider."

"Oh...Could I have another glass?"

Bella must not have expected that response because she did nothing for a while, possibly re-thinking her decisions and wondering what she were to get herself into, but she still eventually got another cup for him.

After a few more glasses, Axel was practically struggling to balance himself on his chair, and because of this, Bella told her parents that she was going to take him home and keep him company.

Perhaps their parents' motives affected their thought processes because not one of them thought to prevent Bella from going home alone with a drunk teenage boy. Heck, not one of them thought it was weird that Axel was drunk.

Nevertheless, Bella took him to her house and put him on the couch, where he rested, but eventually opened his eyes and supposedly started calling Bella "Modi." repeatedly.
