I lay on my bed. Lost in thought. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened yesterday.

Axel called my voice beautiful!

I didn't know if it was the comment or the fact he said it that made me feel this way. It was a really nice feeling. Today is a Saturday, so I can laze around. My stomach roared.

Ugh, I'm still hungry.

When I got home last night, mom wasn't back yet, so I ate the lunch I took to school and did my homework after that. It seems it wasn't enough.

At least all my homework's finished. This way I have the whole weekend to myself. No work. No stress.

My phone started to chime. I picked it up and looked at the ID. Finn's face appeared on my screen.

"Hey!"

I waved. It must really suck being the only one talking in a conversation. Why did he call me? He knew I wouldn't be able to talk. I just hope he isn't forcing himself to.

"Nathan, are you good? You zoned out for a bit."

I grabbed a pen and paper from my drawer and wrote. I'm fine.

"Yes, you are- I mean that's great."

I giggled. Finn had been acting weird since yesterday.

"Do you like... Want to hang out?"

Sure! I wrote.

"Sweet! Come over to my house at ten."

Ok. I wrote.

I waited a while before I cut the call wondering if Finn had wanted to say something. But he just stayed on the call, glancing at me while I picked out my outfit.

I probably shouldn't ask him about it.

I got ready and headed out. I greeted my mum and grabbed a protein bar before leaving.

"Oh my. Where are you going that you're so dressed up?"

I picked a pen and wrote something on my hand. I'm going to see a friend.

She giggled, "That's what they all say."

I got to Finn's house and knocked on the door. A little girl opened it.

"You are?" She asked in a tiny voice.

I'm here to see you're brother. I wrote.

"Why don't you ta-"

Finn scooped her up in his arms while holding her mouth. Preventing her from talking. I could hear muffled screams.

"Sorry about that." he apologized, "I was getting ready. Come in."

I giggled nervously before entering. His house gave such a warm feeling. It felt lively.

"Sweetie, who was that?"

"It's Nathan."

"Nathan?!" I could hear clanking noises. Finn's mom rushed out of the kitchen. When she saw me she beamed with joy.

"Sweetheart! How're you? How's your mum?"

We're good. I wrote.
