"Are you ready yet?" Axel asked from my phone. "Last time we went on a date, I remember you being ready before me."

I laughed a little, hopping as I was trying to put on my socks.

"I slept late yesterday." I said, picking up my phone to look at him.

"Right." He chuckled. "That was my fault."

I smiled a little, then wore my jacket and carried my other belongings before leaving my room.

It had already been a week since that outing I had with my mom, which turned into a hang out with Caleb, but it was a lot of fun. He was acting kind of weird though, but we did chat after that day and he seemed to be alright.

I practically ran down the steps and almost hit my mom in the process.

"I am so so sorry." I apologized.

"It's alright." She smiled. "Just be careful."

"Yeah, I will." I said. "I'm going for my date, so I probably would have eaten dinner by the time I come back."

"Oh, okay then. More pasta for me." She giggled. "Have a good one. Love you."

"Love you too mom." I gave her a kiss on the cheek before leaving the house.

I looked at my phone, forgetting I was still on the call with Axel. When I looked at him, he had the widest grin ever.

"What?" I asked."

"Nothing." He said.

"Yeah, right. Where are you?"

He changed the view of his camera, showing me his surroundings. I stopped to look at it and saw someone wearing the same thing I was.

That's me!

I looked up and saw Axel heading over to my direction. A smile spread across my face and the butterflies in my stomach fluttered as he slid his hand into mine.

"Modi." He smiled.

"You could've come in, you know?" I told him. "My mom hasn't even seen you yet."

"I thought about it... But I think seeing the flustered look on your face is more worth it." He teased.

"Ugh, stop it.." I laughed.

He chuckled, then leaned in for a kiss.

"Oh."

It was a bit surprising, but of course, I didn't hate it. I kissed him back and he smiled again, squeezing my hand tighter.

We decided to go before it got too late and headed on our way. He did let me know that we'd be walking a lot, so I didn't bring my bicycle and wore comfortable shoes. He seemed to have done the same as well, seeing as he wore his "favorite" sneakers.

On the way, he told me about what we were going to do. He talked about getting some pastries before going to a park to sit, and how we'd go to an aquarium before finally going to the amusement park.

"The amusement park?" I asked.

"Yeah, since you've been there before, I was thinking you could show me around." He said, looking at me.

"Sure! I wanted to go on the Ferris wheel with you too." I smiled, looking back at him. "Though I already went on it with Caleb." I added.

"Y-Yeah about that." Axel mentioned. "I want to sort of... um. I want to try to r-rewrite that."

"Huh?"

Axel stopped walking, so I stopped too.

"What do you mean?" I asked, seeing as how he was stammering and seemed a bit...anxious?
