Post show bar hang outs were always a ritual, I had ducked out from the show early to go to the bar and set up a small table for everyone since it was Sammy's birthday. Josh, Jake, and Danny had asked me to go. Danny being my boyfriend wasn't entirely on board with the idea of me going to the bar alone at first but the guys reassured him that I'd be fine.

I showed up to the bar we had called with a small box of random decorations and a couple of balloons to decorate the table we had reserved. Immediately upon entry I could feel eyes on me but I chose to ignore them. I walked up to the bar and found the bartender who looked up at me with a smile, "what can I get you darling?" He asked. "I actually called earlier about reserving the booth for the band." I explained. The bartender nodded, "oh yeah! I reserved the big booth over there in the side room that we have reserved for parties for you. Just move the reserved sign and have at it. If you need anything, let me know my name is Olly." He said with a friendly smile.

I went over to the table inside of the small room to start decorating, the room was small and only had one booth in it. It was a perfect area so we wouldn't be bothered by the possibility of a fan seeing them. I started laying out some happy birthday signs and signs that said 25. I had splurged a little and gotten black gold and silver birthday plates, napkins and forks too just to be extra. There was a small shelf above the booth that was long enough for me to hang the happy 25th birthday banner on it.

I crawled into the booth and kneeled on the seat to put up the banner when I suddenly felt I wasn't alone. I turned around to see a man in his mid to late 30s standing at the table's edge watching me. I finished and turned around to face him, "what's a pretty woman like you doing at a bar like this all by yourself sweetheart?" He asked.

I looked at the table and all the decorations as if it wasn't obvious. "I'm setting up some decorations for my friend's birthday. Everyone is coming shortly, this is a little surprise for him." I stated slowly as I was still organizing stuff on the table. "Don't see a ring on your finger," he said bluntly. I blankly stared at him starting to get an uneasy feeling in my stomach, "no but my boyfriend should be here soon with everyone else" I replied.

He didn't seem bothered by the fact that I had a boyfriend, "let me buy you a drink you must be thirsty after doing all this work." He said, placing his hand down on the table near me as I scooted out of the booth to stand up. "No thank you I appreciate the offer though" I said hoping he'd get the idea that I wasn't interested. I started to get the idea that this guy didn't take no for an answer well. "Oh nonsense what you drink I've got it!" He said stepping closer to me which caused me to move backwards.

I was getting a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I could spell the booze oozing out of his pours as he had taken a step closer. "I need you to take a step back, you are making me incredibly uncomfortable" I stated, hoping that may knock some sense into him. "Oh darling I don't bite. Just let me buy you a drink and keep you company until your boyfriend gets here" he said putting emphasis on the word boyfriend which made me think he didn't believe he was coming.

The man reached out and clamped his hand onto my wrist and looked me in the eye, "I won't take no as an answer" he said his voice becoming much more aggressive. I tried to pull my hand away but his fingers dug into my skin causing me to wince. The music in the bar was loud enough where I knew if I yelled for help no one would hear me. I was on my own and he knew that.

Things moved quickly all of a sudden my back was against the wall and the man had me pinned, his hand was clamped around the bottom of my chin forcing me to look to the right. His other hand was on my waist holding me in place his fingers digging into my skin through my shirt. Tears immediately pricked my eyes as I felt his lips near my ear, "pretty girls like you shouldn't come to places like this alone. Never know who you will run into. There are bad people out in this world. People like me" he said.
