The door to mine and Danny's room flung open, "y/n I knowwww you aren't still asleep!" Josh said. I blinked sleepily and sat up, "I'm up I'm up" I yawned. "You're getting married today! Come on!" He said excitedly. I looked at the empty space next to me where Danny usually slept and pouted. "Nuh uh don't start, you'll see him in a few hours. It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. He's at Jake, Sam and my house getting ready. Now up before I get ice cold water and dump it on you" he said impatiently.

Today was the day I had been waiting for since I was a little girl, I was marrying the love of my life. Danny and I met when Josh, Jake and Sam introduced him to me almost 15 years ago when we were 9 and we ended up starting dating at 16. He was my first boyfriend and ended up being the only person I ever needed, he was my soul mate through and through.

Josh and the other Kiszkas have been my best friends since I was 7. They saw me get pushed on the playground by the school bully and they were the only ones who stood up for me and the rest was history. Josh and Jake were two years older than me and Sam was one year younger than me. They were the brothers that I never knew I needed.

I was close with all 3 of the Kiszka boys but Josh and I had something closer. He was my best friend and the person I leaned on whenever I needed it. He had always been there for me regardless of what it was. No matter when I called him he answered and if they weren't touring and I needed him he'd come over at any time of the night before I moved in with Danny.

Instead of asking my parents for their permission to marry me since they weren't really a part of my life, Danny had asked Josh since he was so close to me. Josh couldn't have been happier and gave his best friend his blessing to marry me.

Danny had taken me out on a date that he had planned all on his own, a picnic in a field of wildflowers followed by a walk down the beach then at sunset he had dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the happiest day of my life, now here we are a year and a half later on the morning of our wedding.

"Y/n are you going to get up or do I need to drag you out of bed. I know you aren't a morning person but for god sake you cannot be late to your own wedding!" Josh said. "I'm getting up, is anyone else here yet?" I said standing up. "Josie and Veronica will be here shortly, the hair stylist and makeup artist will be here in 30 minutes" he said. "Ok I need to shower and wash my hair. If anyone shows up let them in please that includes your mother and Lori" I said. "You got it kid, I've got it all handled." He said leaving the room.

Traditionally the maid of honor would be a female but I had asked Josh to be my maid of honor because he and I were so close and he knew me so well. The plus side of him being my maid of honor was he knew how to keep my anxiety at bay just like Danny knew how and he also knew my body language and knew what I needed. This was something he taught Danny because he wanted to make sure I was well taken care of.

I took a shower, shaved and washed my hair. I reminisced about some of my memories with Danny, like the time on tour he was trying to set up his drum set and I was sitting on a nearby speaker just watching. He had gotten so distracted that he had somehow managed to screw his shirt into one of the bolts and gotten stuck. Or I thought about the time he brought me to the middle of nowhere and we laid in the back of his pickup with blankets and pillows stargazing for hours.

I got out of the shower and dried my hair then lathered myself in lotion before slipping on my bra and panties. I then followed that by a white silk robe I had been given at my bridal shower by Lori, Danny's mother. She had it custom made, across the back near the shoulder blades, it said "Mrs. Wagner" In baby pink embroidered letters. She also had gotten matching pjs for her, Josie, Veronica and Karen, the Kiszkas mother to wear this morning for cute getting ready photos.
