SMUT WARNING

I had gotten in an awful fight with my Father about my choice on joining Greta Van Fleet on the road as their personal assistant and makeup artist. The job was high paying and I got to spend more time with Danny which was an added plus. My father didn't approve of the rockstar girlfriend life and strongly discouraged me from it. He saw me packing my bags for the tour that was about to start in just a few days and it sparked his anger.

"I'm going Dad I'm literally 23 you cannot stop me!" I yelled. "If you walk out that door and throw away your life and the pure genius you have for a man, don't bother coming back!" He yelled. "I WASN'T PLANNING ON COMING BACK WHY WOULD I COME BACK TO A PLACE WHERE I AM UNWANTED?!" I yelled back angrily. "Ungrateful disrespectful brat of a child you are!" He yelled.

I zippered up my bag and looked around my room to make sure I didn't leave anything I may want down the road. I grabbed my bags and went down the stairs my father still on my heels yelling, "you could have a brilliant life!" He yelled. "AND I WILL HAVE ONE! WITH DANIEL, A MAN WHO HAS SHOWN ME UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND SUPPORT SINCE THE DAY I MET HIM AND THE KISZKAS!" I screamed back. "You're just going to be their play thing, nothing but a band groupie" he spat.

Ice ran through my veins as I stared at him, I blinked away the tears and looked at the table where my keys usually would be. "Where are my keys" I said stoically. "You don't need them, I paid for that car, legally it's mine" he said. I grabbed my raincoat off the coat rack and threw it on. "Where the fuck are you going? It's 2 in the morning!" He yelled. I turned and looked at him once more, "I'm done, I'm leaving. I'll walk if I have to, but I'm not spending another second here dealing with your bullshit" I said picking up my bags and walking out into the rain.

I walked for a bit before I found a sheltered bus station, I was already soaked to the bone from the pouring rain. I pulled out my phone and sat down, I clicked on Danny's number and held the phone up to my ear.

It ran 7 times before he picked up, "mamas? It's 2:30am are you ok?" He said in a deep sleepy voice. I sniffled as tears ran down my cheek, "Danny can you come get me please?" I said quietly. "Mamas are you crying? What happened where are you?" He asked his voice much more urgent now. "I'm downtown at the bus shelter... my dad and I got in another fight... he took my car so.. I walked" I said.

I could hear him shuffling around, "you walked into town?! That's nearly 3 miles and it's pouring out!" He exclaimed. I sniffled and pushed the water off my face and tried to wipe the falling tears. "I'm sorry" I said my voice breaking. "Don't move I will be there as fast as I can is your phone charged?" He asked. I looked down at my phone and it was only at 25, "it's at 25 percent" I replied. I heard him sigh, "you stay in the shelter and if anyone comes near you you call me or you call for help" he said. "Ok, see you soon. I love you" I said softly. "I love you too mamas I'm on my way" I heard the door to the house slam shut before I hung up.

Danny was at least a 25 minute drive away, I sat in the shelter and kept my wits about me. It wasn't that I lived in an unsafe area per say but there were some crimes that happened in the early hours of the morning. The wind blew the rain inside the shelter, the rain jacket was ultimately useless, it soaked through my clothes and dampened my hair. A chill settled into my bones, it was October so it was a crisp fall night.

Every noise startled me making me snap my head in the direction it came from. I had some pepper spray in my purse that I kept for emergencies because you never knew what could happen this day in age. I wasn't afraid to use it if the situation arose. I watched as the occasional car drove by and slowed as they saw me sitting under the bus stop.

After about 15 minutes I could hear the familiar rumble of Danny's Jeep coming down the road. It sounded like he was speeding, I watched the corner where I knew he'd be coming from and a few seconds later I saw the headlights of his jeep. Seconds later he pulled up in front of the bus stop and hopped out of the drivers seat and hurried over to me.
