SMUT WARNING

My drive home from work I was in a daze. I couldn't believe after 8 years with my company they filed for bankruptcy and fired a bunch of people. I was one of the last to be informed. I poured my heart and soul into my time there. My eyes stung from me trying to keep it together long enough to get home safely. All I wanted to do was go home to my men, Danny and Jake, they always made me feel better.

As I was turning down our street I felt myself losing control of my emotions. Danny and Jake were my safe haven and I could always express my emotion however I needed to. Tears slipped down my cheeks as I pulled into the driveway. Only Danny's jeep was in the driveway, Jake's truck was nowhere to be seen. It was early in the afternoon and I wouldn't typically be home until late afternoon early evening. He'd know something was up the second I walked through the door.

I grabbed my box of belongings from my office out of the back seat and made my way up the front steps. The tears were flowing steadily, I got to the door and held the box on my hip and unlocked the door stepping in. Danny was sitting on the couch with his back to the door, he turned and looked as I walked in.

"Mamas, what are you doing home so early?" He asked, turning back around. It took a second and his head whipped around and stared at me, his face dropping seeing the tears. "Mamas?" He said his voice dropping with concern, standing up and hurrying over to me. "Hey what happened, why are you crying?" He said, looking at the box in my arms. "I... got terminated" I said almost in a questioning tone.

He took the box and gently sat it down on the table next to the door, "what do you mean you got terminated? Come on come sit down with me Sweetheart" he said, guiding me to the couch. I began to tell him about the bankruptcy and the mass firing. He held me in his arms stroking my head, "I'm sorry mamas, I know how much you liked it there. We can find something for you to do for the band so you can be with us all the time. How about that?" He asked softly.

"I just don't understand what I did wrong to get terminated 8 years of my time there and they just get rid of me like I'm... nothing!" I said looking at him. His face fell "Mamas honey you aren't nothing( it's their loss you were an incredible asset to their company. You are such a hard worker, they are absolutely stupid for letting you go" he said, stroking his hand through my hair.

I relaxed into his arms, my head resting on his chest, his touch could cure even my deepest wounds. He was quiet, letting me relax his hand, stroking my arm gently as he picked up his book and continued to read. The emotionally taxing day took a toll and I fell asleep on his chest, "mamas" he went to speak looking down and seeing me asleep. He grabbed a blanket and threw it over me and lowered my head into his lap on a pillow.

It was rare that I ever took naps during the day, when I did it was often because I had a bad anxiety day and was worn out. His fingers gently ran through my hair looking down at the frown on my face, allowing me to sleep.

A while later the front door opened and Jake walked in holding his guitar case. He couldn't see me asleep on Danny's lap. "Hey I saw y/n is home. What is she doing home so early?" He asked. Danny turned and shushed him pointing to his lap where I was asleep.

Jake came over and he frowned, "she's been crying i can see the tear stains on her cheek is she ok?" He asked, concerned. Danny shook his head, "she got terminated, company filed for bankruptcy and did a mass termination." He said quietly. Jakes brow furrowed, "the fuck you mean she got fired?! She's been there for 8 years!" He said angrily.

"Dude don't wake her up, she never takes a nap during the day and she was so upset. I told her we'd find something for her to do for us so she can finally travel with us like she's always wanted to." He said rubbing my back gently. They both watched me sleep before Jake spoke up again, "I'm in my right mind to go down there and say something. She loved it there. How can they just terminate her like that" he said angrily. "Employers don't care, workers are dispensable to them, they don't care. At least if she works for us she will know how much she is appreciated and never have to worry again" Danny said.
