"I slur your name till someone puts me in a car."- Taylor Swift

I drag my feet along the wooden floor boards of my house. I already put on my outfit that consisted of a pair of mom jeans and a black long sleeved top. I go to my mirror trying to cover the dark eye bags from last night.

After Greyson had given me my first ever present, he walked me home claiming  "you really shouldn't walk at night when it's dark." Most of the walk was quiet until we got to the front of my driveway. I was walking to the front of my house when I realized that I didn't thank him. So I turned around and just hugged him. I could hear him mumbling sorry multiple times and that's when I knew he was genuine about it.

I groan, rubbing my bright red eyes. It just keeps getting worse.

I stroll down to the kitchen in a lazily manner. I feel a little hungry today so a snack wouldn't hurt. My stomach had been growling all night. I open the cupboard and pull out a granola bar. Closing the cupboard I turn my head to find my mother and my father trailing behind her and that's when my insides twist into a knot. My breath almost hitches. I freeze, not saying anything until she does.

She gives a large sigh. "Should've known, when are you not hungry?"

I don't say anything, I just look at her, almost waiting for her to say something else. My father decides to speak up for once.

"Lauren!" He yells in anger. His face is almost red, so I take it as my que to leave, I don't want to be here for this.

I put on a pair of black converse and head out. I take out the new basketball Greyson gifted me out of my backup to clear my head. It was orangeish-brown with black lines as the top read out "Wilson" in black lettering.

Lately my father has been ignoring me less. He wasn't as bad as my mom, he never really was. Yet, he still chose to ignore me, I guess now he was at his breaking point and just getting sick of it. But once again, it will never be an excuse for ignoring me my whole life.

"PLEASEEE!!" Ryan and Juli say in sync.

After school today there was a party. I'm not much of a party girl but I love getting drunk.

"C'mon even Callum is coming and he hates parties!" Ryan pouts his lips forward.

Callum gives a quick punch to Ryan's shoulder.

I spin my ball in my hand thinking about whether I should go or not. It's not like I have much to do. I stare at the basketball. I wonder if Greyson's going. Juli looks at where my eye sight is leading. She comes over to whisper.
