"I find myself running home to your sweet nothings. Outside they're push and shoving."- Taylor Swift

HONK! HONK!

The traffic here is flooding the road. Thank god I left earlier to get to school. My mom left to work before I woke up this morning so I only made breakfast for myself. My dad left when I was younger. He has a new rich ass family. My mom is kind of rich, not to sugar coat it. So I should be grateful right? But it's hard to be grateful when my dad is gone, says sorry, then throws money in our faces. When he left he started off by being there, postcards for birthdays and if I was lucky enough I spent Christmas with him. Yet slowly he disappeared almost into thin air.

Finally the street light turns into the emerald green I have to see every morning. At least I don't have to walk. Poor Alexandra walking to school everyday. I laugh. Sometimes I almost still feel her sitting next to me in the passenger seat. I can't help to feel curious on why she was crying so much the other day.

Shit.

Just seeing her cry put me in a vulnerable place. Even if I do hate her.

I swiftly park in the parking lot of the school and find Callum waiting by my locker. Andddd he's making out with Juli. Right on my locker. They pull away as soon as they see me.

Callum's smile stays stuck to his face. I nod at him. "Hey."

"What's up?" He initiates our handshake.

"We're going to meet up with Al'."

"Sounds good."

Juli looks in my direction, wiggling her eyebrows at me. I give her a confused look back at her.

We walk towards Alexandra's locker, they talk about random shit that I'm not listening to, as I'm too busy on my phone. I met this girl before school started and she told me she would be starting school here soon. She asked me for my number and Callum basically pushed me into giving it to her. When I had zero interest in her. In Callum's words he said I need a "good fuck." I used to hook up with girls a lot. I thought it could fill in my loneliness. But it never will. So I stopped.

I look up from my phone to see Alexandra's locker closing. Her eye bags are darker than usual, her eyes are red, but once she she's Juli she smiles giving her a big hug. I look down at my phone once a ding makes it through my ears. The girl try's to send me a "cute sexy picture" except she end up looking constipated.

I hit Callum's shoulder without looking at him.

"Callum look, it's the girl from the diner." I laugh, showing him the picture.

"Man, I feel bad for you. Why is she doing her eyebrows like that." He laughs even harder.

We walk to class as Juli departs us. Alexandra is in front of us, not uttering a word when she takes a seat. Callum and I continue to talk but I make sure to take quick glances at Alexandra to make sure she's okay. She's looking down at her notes. She has glasses on , yet I've never seen her wear them before. "Greyson, dude, are you listening."
