I woke up sweating and panicked. After waiting hours to fall asleep I did.
Only to be woken up an hour later. The house was quiet as usual. I look in my mirror and throw my hair in a quick pony before changing my outfit. I left the house in a rush, it was colder than I expected it to be. Yet my shorts and hoodie would hopefully keep me a little warm.
All night I kept looking at the picture my brother posted. I couldn't take my eyes off it, no matter how much I tried. My parents have never been to my championship games. They've never watched me win.
I sigh and practice my reverse lay-ups.
After a while I take a break and sit down on the court. Pulling my phone out, I check instagram again. The picture haunts me. It gets stuck inside of me. I scroll through all the pictures. Though I stare at the first one the most. The picture of all of them hugging. I go to turn off my phone but a message pops up.

He opens the picture but doesn't answer. He did not just leave me on open. Just when I was about to send a text he started typing.
greyson : i thought i told you not to go alone??
