"What if I told you I'm a mastermind? And now you're mine." - Taylor Swift
"Alexandra?" I say.
I had just been working out in Julis gym before she left with Callum to go on a date when the doorbell rang.
Now Alexandra is waiting outside the door. Her face isn't showcasing her usual pretty smile, her rich one. Instead the corners of her mouth continues to pull down. Her face is unreadable, there's something wrong, but if I didn't know her I would've thought she was okay.
She clears her throat. "Is uhm Juli here?"
"No she went on a date with Callum. Why?" Her eyes don't meet mine, but instead they do meet my abs. I chuckle. "Eyes up here Allie." She doesn't laugh. She doesn't look at me either. Not even my body. Her arms are crossed and her foot taps the porch of the house.
Sorry, Mansion.
"Alexandra?" I question. She looks up at me and her eyes are glossy. Her face doesn't change though. Her tears don't spill either.
"Come in." I take her inside, with my hand on her back, pushing her into the house before she changes her mind.
I sit her down in Julis very cozy living room. I go to get her a glass of water, making sure I can watch her from the kitchen. She doesn't move. Her eyes stay still on the wall, not flinching. Her hands move the blankets onto her lap. Her knuckles turn white with he tight grip she has on it. She looks like she's in some paralysis. I don't get what's wrong. She left in such a hurry today, It made me even more worried when she was so frustrated over the zipper. Yet she never cried. Ive only seen her cry once, and that was when I stole her basketball. I pull my shirt over my head before leaving the kitchen.
I breathe in slowly taking the glass of water to her. "Here." She turns to me and takes the glass of water. I takes a seat next to her as she downs a small amount of water before leaving it on the table. Her hands are shaky and her breaths are too.
I turn to her and whisper quietly. "Are you okay?"
She doesn't answer with words but she pulls her knees to her chest only to shake her head at the wall.
"Alexandra. Look at me." She takes a big inhale before turning to me. She's holding everything in. Ive never seen her so, so... she's not upset, but she's not happy, or angry. More tired?
"I know you want to hold it ion but if you need to let it out, let it out. Don't hold it in. I know we aren't ever really on the best terms, but I'm here for you."
A tear rolls down her cheek and she sniffles.
"It's okay." I move closer to her and hug her. Her sobs become louder and muffled into my shoulder. She hold on tightly to my shirt.
