The drive home was quiet, too silent that it almost made Lisa lose her mind. She suddenly felt anxious about what happened earlier. Lisa started to create various counter questions in case Jennie asked her.
Lisa almost blamed the blonde girl for causing such chaos in her relationship, but on the other hand how can she blame the lady when Jennie was the one who made them go to that drive thru in the first place.
And why does she have to feel guilty when she basically did nothing wrong and has totally no idea why her girlfriend was in such a mood.
So, right then and there, Lisa settled with her perfect reason that Jennie was just having PMS. It made perfect sense to her.
They arrived on a busy street of 252 Common Street Belmont in Massachusetts, a moving truck was being parked in front of the resident building.
The car engine turned off and both sides of the door flew open. Jennie and Lisa went down from both sides. The tall woman jogged to her lover as they headed up to their apartment floor. Lisa tries to hold her hand but Jennie keeps it away from her and walks faster.
Lisa stopped when a few men blocked her way upstairs with a huge sofa, one of their neighbors was moving out.
When the commotion ended, Lisa searched for Jennie but she already rode the elevator leaving her behind.
Moments later Lisa opened the door, she tried to understand what was going on but she couldn't think of any possible reason why all of a sudden her relationship began to crumble, and the only solution she could think of was to start the argument.
Lisa placed the bags on top of the table. Jennie was in the kitchen getting some plates for them, when Lisa suddenly stops her from roaming around, holding her down on both shoulders.
"Alright, what is it? Talk to me... talk to me." Jennie avoided eye contact but Lisa was persistent and tried to find a way to lift her face so their eyes could meet. And when they did the waterworks began.
Lisa was concerned about it.
"About what?" said Jennie.
"I don't know? Maybe we could start with why are you acting like this?" still avoiding her gaze Lisa kept catching Jennie's eyes that are now looking away, facing on the right.
"I'm not acting weird. Will you stop making assumptions?" Jennie got off from her grasp and walked toward their table. Lisa quickly followed.
"Was this about London?"
"No." Jennie denies.
"Then what is it?" Lisa asked worriedly. "Jennie, I'm not a mind reader to know what you were thinking. So please, will you act according to your age?"
Jennie busied herself taking out their food.
"You're being insensitive, Lisa."
Jennie let out the words which made Lisa's mouth drop to the floor. Lisa stops holding herself and lets her anger burst. She had enough of Jennie's mood swings for the last couple of days.
"Oh give me a -- Oh give me a fucking break, Jen. you call me insensitive? So this is really about that fucking blonde at the drive thru was it?"
"Will you stop bringing that fucking slut in this conversation, It's nothing!" Jennie blasted back.
"It's not nothing when your nose is basically fuming with anger right now. So be honest with me for fuck sake!"
"Fine! You wanna talk about that slut then be my guest." Jennie insinuated.
