DEVON'S POV

"My king, alam naming naghihintay ka sa kanya, but we think, it's the right time to choose your chosen beloved"

I mentally sighed when I heard the council said those words, again.

Hindi ba sila napapagod na sabihin yan sa akin?!

"Why do you keep on saying that thing?! I already told you that my beloved is still alive right?! I know that she's out there!" sigaw ko sa kanila na ikinagulat nilang lahat. They all bowed their heads to show that they submit.

I sighed and I try to calm myself. I know that my eyes changed its colors and I can feel the vampire within me really wanted to kill these hard-headed vampires in the council.

"With all due respect my King, the other vampires in this kingdom is now slowly losing their trust and loyalty since you don't have a queen to rule this kingdom" sabi ng isa sa mga Council habang nakayuko.

"I don't fucking care!" bulyaw ko sa kanila.

"But my king, these are your people and—"

I stop him by simply raising my hand. I don't want to hear it anymore. Palagi nalang ganito. Paulit-ulit nalang.

"For your information, my dear council, I won't find another women just to please other people. My beloved is the rightful owner of the crown. She is the one who will reign this kingdom with me. And if someone wants to object, just raise your hand and I'll snap your neck and drink all your blood from your body" cold na sabi ko sa kanila. I made sure to let my Vampire visible for them to believe in me.

I don't want other vampires. All I want is my beloved.

Tumayo ako at lumabas na nga meeting room. This is my life, as a King of the Vampires, I need to handle various issues and it really wants me to kill someone and drink all its blood until I drain all of it.

I use my vampire speed to go to a human city. Humans are one of my targets but I know that once I taste the blood of my beloved, she will be my favorite among all the people that I've tasted.

Malapit na ako sa city when I heard a rustling sound kaya agad akong huminto at nagtago. Its very rare to see someone walking in this forest. Walang mga taong pumupunta dito since alam nilang may mga namamatay dito.

I immediately went to her back and I try to sniff her again.

I want to know her more so I let her stay in my haven for how many days. I need to know the truth behind it. I need to know why she can't feel that she's my beloved. When we arrived at my place, I know that she's mesmerized by the interior of my house and I can now see her purple eyes glowing which makes me smile.

I told her to take a bath first and go back here because I wanted to know the truth as soon as possible. When she went to her room, I immediately went to the oracle's room on the far east side of this mansion.

"What brings you here?" the oracle asked me and I scoff.

"You already found her, right?" tanong nya at humarap sya sa akin. I just nodded my head in response.

"but you haven't seen her in person" sabi nya sa akin sabay ngisi.

"What?! She's in her room right now! don't fool me around" nagbabantang sabi ko sa kanya.

"My King, the truth is, you just have one of her belongings and its in your pocket now right?" sabi nya sa akin kaya agad kong nakuha ang panyong nasa bulsa ko. This handkerchief have her scent and its so dominant that's why I secretly get this to her.

"Can I have that handkerchief for a while?" tanong niya sa akin at inilahad niya ang kanyang kamay. I hesitate but I know that this oracle knows a lot compared to me kaya ibinigay ko sa kanya ang panyo kahit labag sa loob ko. I just wanted to have that handkerchief alone, ayokong may iba pang humawak ng panyong iyang except for me.

The oracle tried to sniff the handkerchief and within how many seconds, I saw how her eye color turns to darker purple with a shade of gold.

"You need to help your beloved, my king. She is being under a love spell, you need to break it before it's too late" sabi nya sa akin at bumalik na sa normal ang kanyang mga mata.

"The girl that you brought here is not your beloved. You just feel like she's your beloved due to the reason that she have this handkerchief. Go to that girl and explain to her everything" sabi ng oracle sa akin at tinulak na ako palabas. I sighed and I just went to the lobby. I stayed for a while when I saw her walking and then I realized that the oracle is correct. Ngayong nakaligo na siya ay mas lumabas ang tunay niyang scent at alam kong hindi pala siya ang tunay kong beloved.

I told her everything and I let her know that my other half is her friend. She even told me that her friend named Chelsea already have a mate but I didn't tell her that Chelsea is under a spell. Hindi ko muna sasabihin sa kanya. Not yet.

I helped Rosselle to develop her vampire skill and I let her stay in my Haven. She's also a part of the family now since she's one of the closest friend of my beloved.

I know that the time will come that I will be seeing my beloved for the first time...
