Ethan's POV

My therapist has been telling me that I need to "let people in", and let them "see the real Ethan". Well, if my friends knew that I was planning to kill them within a few weeks, they probably wouldn't like the "real Ethan."
Dad and Quinn doesn't even know that I'm seeing a therapist. Obviously they wouldn't approve. But I... Fuck. I don't know. I looked at my phone, mindlessly scrolling up and down, looking at the same posts.
I just felt that I needed to talk to someone who isn't my dad or sister. I continued looking at my phone, seeing all the fake pictures of fake people with forced smiles. What's even the point of it all? No one is being real anymore. The second someone is real and tries to do something, they get killed. Like my brother. He wanted to create something real, a new movie, and she slaughtered him for it. Sam.
I glanced up at the clock on the wall, noticing that my appointment is supposed to start in a few minutes. I was thinking about what I was going to tell the therapist. In order to befriend Chad, Mindy, Tara, Sam and Annika, I had to pretend to be someone else. I had gotten so good at lying that I barely knew who I was anymore.
I leaned back my head, letting it rest against the wall behind me. The chairs in the waiting room were uncomfortable, but hey. Could have been worse.
The door to the waiting room opened and I saw in the corner of my eye that someone stepped in. She swore and looked at the clock I had just been looking at. Late? I turned my head against her... And it was like I couldn't move. Standing there, a few meter away, was the most stunning girl I had even seen.
I've seen many beautiful girls. Or atleast what society deem to be beautiful. But this girl, who decided to sit on a chair that was to my right, was beautiful in a different way. In a original way. She looked like the kind of beauty that people would write books about. That they would write songs about. Maybe even fight wars about.
Looking at her, I realised that I had to get to know her. Something in her eyes had me hypnotized. I wish I could describe what it is, but it would be like trying to describe the beauty of the moon. It has to been seen in order to fully understand it.
I swallowed, and forced myself to look away. I've been staring at her for too long. She probably think I'm a creep or something. I adjusted in my seat, thinking franatically on something funny or cool to say. Chad always know the right thing to say when a beautiful girl is around.
I cleared my throat, looked up at her and said:
"Hi." But I said it so quietly, that she didn't even hear me. Come on Ethan. Don't be a coward.
"Uhm, hi?" That sounded more like a question. But this time it was louder, and she turned her head against me and our eyes locked for the first time. Her stunning e/c eyes had me choking on my words for a second.
"Hi?" She said, looking confused.
"I-Uhm. Do you, I don't know, do you come here often?" I asked, trying to flash a smile. Chad usually does that. Ask a question, flash a smile, move closer... His methods is usually quite effective.
She looked at me.
"To the therapist?" She laughed a little, her laughter made cheeks go red. "Do I look like I should be going to the therapist more often?"
Now it was my time to blink.
"No! No, of course not. I didn't mean that you look, like, crazy or anything. Not that it's anything wrong with being crazy and, uhm, I- Uh, I just wanted to talk to you." I said quickly, not even allowing myself to catch my breath inbetween the lines.
"I'm just kidding with you." She smiled towards me and tilted her head. How can someone be so flawless? She reached forward a hand.
"I'm Y/n. What's your name?" She said as her eyes looked into mine. I leaned closer and took her hand in mine, shaking it.
"My name is Ethan, Ethan Landry."
