One morning, Huckleberry Hound was on his shiny red scooter, making his way over to Mr. Jinks' house with a box of chocolate chip cookies. Last night, he had been hard at work making these cookies for his friends, but of course, he would want to sample some for himself. Chocolate chip cookies were his favorite kind after all. He soon made his way up to the door, and gave it a knock.

"Jinksey!" he called. "It's Huckleberry! I made some delicious cookies to share!" He then looked into the box. "I made them with love, so I'm sure they'll be just as tasty as my famous huckleberry pies! Or my chocolate cakes. Hehehehehe!"

He then carefully grabbed the doorknob, and slowly opened the door. He entered the house and started looking for Jinks, when he saw a plate of blueberry muffins on the table.

"Blueberry muffins!?" he cried. "Wow!! I never realized how sweet Jinks could be! I love blueberry muffins!" Then he grabbed one from the plate and took a big bite. "Mmmm! Blueberry muffins are 'berry' sweet! Hahaha!" Then he started eating the rest of the muffin.

He soon came over to the living room when he found a book on the table. "Ooh! Jinks was readin' "Alice in Wonderland?" I gotta see this!"

He flipped through the pages and saw some cute illustrations, but the Mad Hatter caught his eye, and it caused him to burst out laughing. But he didn't notice the box falling out of his hands, spilling cookies all over the table! His laughter ceased as he let out a cry of shock.

"The cookies!!!" he shouted. Then he slumped onto the ground sadly.

Jinks soon came downstairs and saw Huck sitting there.

"Huck?" he wondered."What are you doing here?"

Huck looked up and saw Jinks standing there looking at him.

"Jinks," Huck sighed. "I made these cookies for all of us to share, but I dropped them all over the table while I was looking at a book."

"Gee, that's terrible. But it was nice of you to make some cookies for us."

"And you know something? I don't feel like crying," Huck smiled. "I'm just taking it in stride."

"Good Huck, let the healing begin," Jinks beamed.

"Yep, I'm taking it in stride," Huck said. "I'm taking it in stride. I'm taking it in stride..."

But as he continued to say the phrase, tears started filling his eyes.

"I'm taking it in stride... I'm taking it in stride... I'm taking it in..." he paused before he let the tears flood from his eyes.

"Huck..."

"I'm...TAKING IT IN STRIDE!" Then he threw back his head as the tears flooded from his eyes like a fountain. "BWAAAAAAAAHH!!"

"Shee!" Jinks held his forehead and took Huck by the shoulders. "Calm down, Huck!"

"But I wanted to make these cookies for you guys," Huck wailed. "But now they're all over the table!! WAAAAAAH!!"

"But you can always make another batch!" Jinks replied.

Huck stopped crying and looked up at Jinks. "Y-you know what?" he sniffled. "You're right. I can just make another batch of cookies." Then he wiped the last of his tears away. "But I'll need some help, because last night, I made a lot of cookies."

"Well, I made those blueberry muffins, so I can help you make more cookies! All you have to do is ask, Huck!"

"Gee, thanks, Jinks!" Huck beamed. "You know, this is giving me an idea! Why don't we have our own bake sale?"
