One day, Huckleberry Hound had the idea for a big magic show, so he gathered up his friends at his house and started practicing some magic tricks. The blue hound had put his top hat on for added effect, to make himself look more like a magician. Meanwhile, his friends all had various trick gadgets and props that they were using for their various illusions.

"How do I look, fellers?" he asked. "Don't I look stylish?"

"You sure do, Huck!" Hokey Wolf replied. "Or should I say Huckleberry the Spectacular!"

Huck chuckled. Then he went over to Mr. Jinks, who was wearing a turban on his head. "How's it going, Swami?"

Jinks turned to Huck, holding a wand. "I'm like...about to shrink those two meeces down to the size of a flea!" he replied.

"Here's our chance, Pixie!" Dixie cried as he grabbed the wand.

"Hehehe! Wait'll Jinks sees this!" Pixie giggled.

"Alaka-shrinko!"

Dixie waved the wand, and just like that, Jinks shrunk down to the size of a bug! He was smaller than the meeces! Huck looked down at him, scratching his head in confusion.

"Uh, was that supposed to happen?" he asked.

"Of course not!" Pixie laughed. "We just played a trick on Jinks!"

"We couldn't resist!" Dixie added, cracking up.

"Ugh...I hate magical-type meeces to pieces..." Jinks groaned, rolling his eyes.

Huck chuckled and took the wand. "Hang on there, Jinks. I'll have you fixed in a jiffy!" He waved the wand and exclaimed. "Alakazam, alakazow! Help Jinks get bigger and grow!"

And if it weren't by magic, Jinks grew back to normal, but knocked Huck over in the process.

"At least you're back to normal, Jinksy," the hound said with a laugh.

"Thanks," Jinks replied. "But don't let those meeces shrink me down to bug-size again!"

Huck then went over to Hokey to see how he was doing. "How's it going, Maestro Hokey Wolf?"

"I call this my smasharoo trick!" Hokey replied. He had a large weight suspended over the spot where Huck was standing, and was also holding a wand. "Allow me to demonstrate!" He waved his wand and cried, "Alakazoo-zoo! Smasharoo!"

The weight came down on top of Huck's head with a scrunch, squishing him down into a pancake shape. He grunted, then popped his head, arms and legs back out, but the rest of his body was still smushed. Hokey blinked in disbelief and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"I don't get it! You were supposed to spring back up! I must have forgotten something."

"Yeah," Huck groaned. "You forgot to practice."

He gritted his teeth, grunted again, and strained as he tried to stretch back out. Then, ploomp! His body finally sprang back to normal. But he still felt sore as he wandered away to sit down for a moment and recover.

"I think I'll practice my hat trick next," he said. "I can't wait to see the smiles on their faces when I pull a rabbit out of my hat."

He got up, took off his hat, and reached into it. "Us magicians are always pulling stuff out of our hats."

He suddenly pulled out a copy of himself! "Now there's a familiar face!" he laughed.

His friends all took notice and let out gasps of awe.

"Wow! How did you do that, Huck?" Pixie exclaimed.

"Actual-like, it's all done with a mirror!" the hound replied. "See?" He held up a mirror that was so paper-thin, you could barely tell it was a mirror until you took a closer look.
