long story short (i survived)

(sorry this chapter isn't as long, i've been back at school and had alot of work, I promise the next few chapters are going to get more jiara centric! I just want to fill in the gaps in the show)

They were in geometry, 4th period, JJ was already sick of it, he didn't really understand what he was writing down in his book, he was copying the board, occasionally looking over at Kie, she was leaning her face on her head and she turned her head slightly to look behind her to see JJ and he was already looking, he smirked at her, she smirked back, then a buzz came from each of there phones, including Pope's, they broke eye contact, looked at their phones, and then looked back at each other, then Kie looked over at Pope and picked up her phone, "Did you get it?" she whispered, he looked back at her and nodded, she looked back to JJ, JJ was looking at the teacher, making sure he wasn't looking and ducked down, going in-between Kiara and Pope, they all put their phones together, showing the message, it was a photo of John B and Sarah, not just a photo, a selfie, that John B had taken, Kie's heart started to race, they couldn't be? JJ looked at her, she looked back, their eyes said it all, their alive? "Oh my god" Kie whispered as JJ got up and ran out of the class room, Kie grabbed her backpack and got up to follow him, "Um, can I please be excused to help them in the bathro-" Kie cut Pope off by saying "Family emergency".

They all ran out to the courtyard, phones in their hands, "I mean is that even possible? I mean Shoupe said- that they didn't make it, he said that" Pope spoke up, "Ok but I think we're overreacting right now, cause we cant rule out the possibility that this could all be some kind of weird, cruel hoax" Kie sat on the bench, JJ walked over to the wall with his hand on his chest, she looked at him and mouthed 'You good?' he nodded back, she looked back at her phone "I'm just gonna ask" she said, JJ spoke, "What if it's actually him though?" Pope sat up on the pillar, "Then I don't know ok? I don't know" "I'm just gonna ask" Kie texted the unknown number

Kiara: WTF is this actually you???

They all sat in silence, waiting for a response, JJ got his phone out of his pocket, Kie looked at him, not with a worried expression, but a look of desperation, he looked at her the same way, they both looked back at their phones, "He responded?" Pope said, Kie saw the typing bubbles, "He's typing" she said to Pope and then looked at JJ, "He's typing" she said directly too him

Unknown: Is JJ there?

Kie looked up at JJ

JJ: I'm here Bree

...

Unknown: Did you pimp my shortboard?

It was him, JJ smiled, all of them did, they were all crying, they couldn't believe it, they were actually alive, "It's defiantly him" JJ said, going to hug Pope, Kie was still looking down at her phone in disbelief, Kie looked up to see JJ walking towards her, he put his arms around her shoulders, burying his head into the crook of her neck, he whispered "I can't believe it" she sniffled into his shoulder "I know" she laughed, they held the hug for at least ten seconds, when JJ remembered they were 'Just Friends' so he let go, he didn't want to, "YEAH!" he yelled in excitement. This was it, everything was falling into place, what's the worst that could happen now?
