Grian's Perspective-

A couple days had gone by and Grian was excited and ready to meet Scar again.

"How about this Sunday? We can meet here again if you want."

That's what Scar had told Grian last time they met.

"Grian, dear, where are you going?"

Grian jumped and turned around to see his mother's concerned face.

"It's late, you might wanna stay here."

"Er- I told someone I'd help them with their shop."

His mother blinked, "Oh! Who?"

Grian froze before saying slowly,
"Venus."

His mother narrowed her eyes before shrugging.

"Be back in an hour though, okay?"

Grian nodded, folded out his wings, and flew off.

His mother watched after him.

"That's not the direction to Venus's shop." She muttered.

-

Grian landed and saw that Scar was already there.

"Hey Gri!" Scar smiled, eating a cookie.

"Where'd you get the cookie?" Grian asked.

Scar motioned to his basket on his bike.

Grian walked over to it and opened up the cookie tin.

"I made them earlier." Scar said as Grian took a chocolate chip cookie out.

He gasped, "Thank you!"

Scar chuckled, "Sure! I didn't really know what you guys ate but I think it was safe to assume that you like cookies!"

Grian nodded as he ate the treat.

Scar smiled softly and whispered, "You're adorable."

Grian flushed red, "What?"

Scar also blushed, "Er- n-nothing."

Grian nodded and changed the subject.

"So why'd you wanna meet up again?" He asked.

"Well...I wanted to find out more about you." Scar said, "I thought you were like a completely different animal, but in reality, you're not too different from humans."

Grian shrugged, "I guess."

Scar started to ask Grian some questions, most of which were pretty stupid.

"Do you guys still do mating dances?"

"Pffftt!" Grian broke out in laughter, falling off the fence and onto the ground.

"What?!" Scar shouted, his face red from embarrassment, "It's a good question!"

It took a couple minutes for Grian to answer as he was crying from laughter.

But eventually, he sat up and took a deep breath.

"You don't have to, but you can."

Scar nodded.

"Oh! And Tango had a question for you."

Grian tilted his head.

"He wanted to know if he could come with me sometime and meet Timmy."

Grian's smile faded a bit.

"I don't know." He muttered, "It seems awfully risky to do that. And I know Tim would want to stay as he's scared."

"Oh..."

"But," Grian added with a smirk, "I can convince him to. But I don't think we should do these visits often."

"Okay." Scar said, and Grian noticed the hint of disappointment in his voice.

"I'm sorry, it's just...I think it's getting really risky."

"No, I understand!" Scar said, putting on a smile.

Grian smiled back and they spent a minute just staring at each other, the soft crickets and wind whispering in their ears.

"Grian, I- "

A tree branch nearby snapped, and the two guys jumped.

Grian's eyes widened.

"I need to go." He said quickly.

"What? Why? Did- did someone see us?"

"I don't know, but I think someone did."
