I couldn't believe anything that had happened on Friday night.
The rest of the weekend consisted of just me, and my mom.
And I told her everything. I just explained it all. Bradley's party, that morning at Axel's house. Hooking up in the bathroom, and in his bed.
I spared her the details, of course.
And I told her about Dylan.
Literally, all of it.
She heard me out, scolded me a little bit, suggested pressing charges on Dylan, and told me that at least it's all in the past now.
The whole weekend we just stayed in and watched movies, and I don't know why everything still just felt so heavy on my chest.
I guess Axel really is just my enemy. He always has been.
I just hate him.
"Mom, I don't want to go to school tomorrow," I pouted, taking a sip from the mug of tea in my hands, scooting comfortably on the couch.
"Honey, I know, but it's the first day of finals. How can you skip it?"
"Please!" I whined dramatically, "Please let me call in sick!"
My mother sighed, running a hand through her black hair that had streaks of caramel highlights.
"You can't keep doing this, Kameron. After tomorrow, please don't skip any more."
"Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I hopped off the couch and placed my mug on the coffee table, hugging my mom and throwing my body on hers.
She only shook her head scoldingly but I could tell that she was smiling into my shoulder.
"Okay, okay," She detached her body from mine, "But go to sleep early, okay. You're going on Tuesday."
"I will," I smiled at her, climbing up the stairs and snuggling into my room. There I found Leo, my puppy, already curled up in a ball on my bed. I didn't even realize how big he's gotten, and I sighed happily at him.
Everything that's happened was surely weighing me down, but the sight of the cutest Golden Retriever on the planet was always sure to lift my spirits. I cuddled onto the bed next to him, petting his head and scratching behind his ears.
I heard my phone chime on my nightstand.
I wondered who was texting me.
I felt my stomach almost drop to my feet at the contact name that popped up.
ASSLE: 'Are you up?'
I scoffed. Was he serious?
I rolled my eyes and ran my hand through my hair.
There's no way he's serious, right?
It's barely been two full days since our screaming match, and he's already trying to talk to me?
I guess, realistically with me and him it's always been like this. Yeah, we don't like each other but... we get over it.
But what he'd said to me on Friday still had my blood boiling and my heart hurt. He wasn't going to be able to get me to forgive him just like that. The fact that he actually fucking thought that he could blew my mind.
I ignored the message, obviously, but he didn't quit it.
'Plz reply, Kam. We need to talk'
You're kidding me.
