Chapter 14: The Rider, the Witch, and the Symbiote (part 2)

Driving somewhere near Fontana, the D.S.A. have been trying to get an exact location of the Ghost Rider. Ever since losing him at the Ontario Mills mall, Agent One and Two were around the Fontana area, when they heard the police scanner.

Officer #1: All units. We got a situation near Clover and Slover Ave. There's some sort of fight in the area. Please respond.

Officer #2: Copy that. We're on our way.

Looking at each other, the two D.S.A. agents grinned. Thanks to the Fontana P.D., they have found out where the Rider was fighting at. And they have a reason to take him down, and put him away for good.

Agent Two: Did you hear that, One?

Agent One: I sure did, Two! This is gonna' be good!

Activating their S.U.V.'s flashing lights, they were accelerating, and swerving around traffic to the Ghost Rider's battlegrounds.

Back in the battle at Clover and Slover Ave., every civilian and bystander were keeping their distance, while taking footage and photos, as the Rider, Charlie, Octavia, Loona, and Fury were still fighting against Layla, Maste, and Odessa. But, given the circle of fire Layla had cast was about five to six feet tall, no one could get near, or get a clear view of them. Then, still looking from the bridge, CJ's friends could see that the Fox 11 News helicopter was flying nearer from above.

Sam: Guys, we have to do somethin' 'bout that chopper! They fly over 'em, they're gonna' expose their covers.

Lily: If only we have some kind of EMP gadget to jam their signal!

Then, Carter's eyes opened wide. He had an idea, as he went to the back of his Ecto-1 replica. He went in, and opened a small compartment, while Sam, Lily, and Bobby pondered what he was doing. When he climbed out, Carter was smugly holding a small device in his hands.

Carter: Like this?

The device looked like a universal remote control. This only confused his friends even more. How could this thing help their friends?

Bobby: Uh, Carter? It's just a TV controller.

Carter: It only looks like a TV controller. But, I've jury rigged it with a special EMP chip that will temporarily jam any signal within a 10 mile range. Thus, jamming any device from capturing anything for about one hour and thirty minutes.

Sam: Impressive.

They saw the chopper getting a bit closer, as well as a Fox 11 News van coming East on Slover, so Carter took the opportunity to jam their signal. Pressing the center button, he jammed every cameras, cellphones, and other devices within ten miles. Onboard the helicopter, the cameraman had difficulty capturing anything. He couldn't fix it, and on the ground, every civilian's devices were cut off, as they started to complain on what has happened.

Carter: That should do it! Now, our phones are affected, as well, so the only way to get the message to our friends is by texting.

They soon kept their eyes on the fight, and seeing Loona being the only one standing around, while preparing to fight, Lily remembered Octavia giving her, and the rest of her friends Loona's number. She texted to Loona, and she heard her Hellphone vibrating. Quickly pulling it out, Loona could see Lily's text saying that Carter jammed every gadgets with camera's, and it only lasts one hour and thirty minutes. She then saw Lily, Carter, Bobby, and Sam waving, and she nodded her head in reply. Suddenly, The Ghost Rider was pushed back by Layla's blast, as his feet skidded on the ground a few inches away. He recovered, but was then pounced by Maste, pinning him down.
