(Special) Chapter 41: Vengeance, Justice, and Harmony (part 9)

Meanwhile in Hell, Layla and Maste were closing in on Stolas's palace, with Ghost Rider (Johnny) and Stolas's guards at the ready near the front gates, while Stolas was on the phone with Lucifer, as he continued to keep an eye from behind the window in his private office.

Stolas: Yes, your highness. Layla Johnson and your... former son are driving towards my palace, and are, no doubt, trying to find Charlie Johnson's mother and little sister, and take them away again... No, they're not here. The Radio Demon said they are safely home on Earth, so I suppose that is a good thing. But, there is an very important artifact I have locked away. If they find it, it will surely spell our doom.

Lucifer: Well, lucky for you, I have something that might just come in handy. It'll boost your magic, but only for a short time. I'll send it over right now. Remember, Stolas. You've made a vow to Slade to keep it safe from the wrong hands, and if young CJ is the only one you can trust, then hey, why not?

Stolas: *sigh* I guess that is true...

Lucifer: Great! And don't worry! Something tells me that CJ, my daughter, and yours, will be here sooner or later. Gotta' go, and good luck!

Stolas: Um, yes. Goodbye.

As soon as Stolas hung up, a new object laid on his desk in a flash of red fire, and Stolas rushed over to see what it was. It was a ring with an amethyst gem, and Stolas looked it over before putting it in his pocket for safe keeping. Then, looking outside again, the headlights in the distance were getting closer.

Once Layla and Maste got close enough, the former thrusted her hand forward, and a big wave of energy towards Stolas's guards, knocking them down. Ghost Rider (Johnny), on the other hand, leaped into the air in time, and fired two Hellfire balls from his Hell shotgun at Layla's widebody '19 Ford Mustang GT and Maste's sport bike, which suddenly pushed them both back a little, while Maste was knocked off his ride. This gave the guards enough to stand back up, and fired their guns at the two intruders. Maste protected himself with a force field, and got back on his sport bike. Layla growled and pressed a button on the dashboard, releasing a protective metal shield from the front of her Mustang. With a boost of speed, Layla launched forward through some of the guards, running over them, and broke through the gates, when Ghost Rider (Johnny) grabbed the Mustang's rear axle with his Hellchains, and yanked them off. The Mustang crashed into a statue, and was rolled over a few times, before coming to a stop on its roof. Maste saw what happened, and tried to run over the former Spirit of Vengeance, but Ghost Rider (Johnny) simply slammed his fist on the ground, making a small shockwave, causing Maste to fall off again, and bump into the side of the wrecked modern muscle car.

Maste: *groan* You've got a fucking problem with making me fall, you know that?!

Ghost Rider (Johnny): Grrrr.

Growling at that little quip, Ghost Rider (Johnny) pointed his weapon at Maste's chest area, until Layla burst out of her totaled vehicle, and quickly blasted a few fireballs at the Rider, pushing him back, as he blocked her attack with his arms. She was about to unleash a huge attack on him, when more of the guards shot at her, and Layla had to block the bullets with her dark magic.
