(Mountain Li Lodge, Alpine, Arizona, present time)

In the morning, back at the lodge on Route 191, Johnny Blaze and CJ's friends were gathering their possessions and supplies for the rest of the trip down the Devil's Highway, in search for the rest of Asmodeus's crystals. CJ promised to return with them, as soon as he and the others rescue Octavia. They all currently weren't aware that Taylin was with CJ in Stolas's palace. As Sam loaded the last of the supplies into his '70 Monte Carlo, and Carter doubling-checking for any spare items in his Spirit-1, Blaze called out to everyone's attention.

Johnny Blaze: Alright, kids. We've got a lot of road to go through, if we're gonna' find those crystals. CJ is counting on us to do our best, and he'll be back with us soon. So, be careful, and watch each other's backs.

CJ's friends agreed to this, and they all got in their cars, and followed Blaze, riding his old 2011 Yamaha VMAX for some reason, out of the parking lot, and onto Route 180 towards the three-way intersection that connects to the Coronado Trail on Route 191.

They drove past a few RV parks and stops, with meadows and tall trees around them, as there was barely any traffic on the road today. As they traveled on, Lily typed in a few keys on the computer keyboard inside Spirit-1. She was looking at a few recent news articles, regarding any incidents on Route 191, with one in particular.

Lily: This article says that there has been some road accidents recently on the Devil's Highway. A dark and dirty muscle car has been running people off the road, and leaving them for dead! Even in broad daylight!

Sam: Dat' ain' soundin' too good to me. Y' think

They kept going down the road, as more trees soon became more dense, while they were approaching a dirt road that connects to the left side road, Blaze can hear the sound of a V8 engine roaring, and from inside Spirit-1, a beeping sound emitted from the computer monitor, with a red dot moving from the map ahead of them. It was coming down the dirt road ahead. Lily saw this, and looked out the side window to see some dirt clouds up on the hills above.

Lily: Hey, Carter? What does the red dot on the computer mean?

Carter: Um... Red means either a hidden ghost or a nearby supernatural entity. Why?

Suddenly, a dirt-ridden dark grey 1974 Dodge Charger, with a menacing front end, roared onto the pavement, and onto the oncoming lane towards them all for a head-on collision.

(A.N.: Imagine there is a Hellhound demon driver, escaped from Hell, behind the wheel. And no, I don't plan to watch "Wheels of Terror", or any other movies more scarier than this.)

Johnny Blaze: Demon car ahead! Move!!

Carter: Aahh!!!

Everyone swerved their vehicles out of the '74 Charger's way, and said vehicle slammed on the brakes, and stopped, as a demonic voice laughed from behind the dark windows. The inside of the grille seemed to glow green, as the driver was revealed to be a Pitbull Hellhound, named Drool, who had a stolen Asmodean Crystal in his pocket.
