Chapter 28: A Small Favor

Seeing Angela panting slowly, while in a torn Wonder Woman Halloween costume, CJ and Carly rushed towards their mother in a tight hug. They were greatly relieved that she was still in one piece, with with a few cuts and bruises on her skin. With tears in her eyes, Angela hugged her son and young daughter. After being trapped for a few days, she had never been more happy to see her kin again.

Angela: (crying) Charlie... Carly...

Carly replied first by shushing her emotional mother. CJ reassured her with his reassuring words. Everyone else looked at this small family reunion with relief and were glad that CJ's mom was safe and sound. After calming her down, Angela explained what happened to herself, as CJ healed her small wounds with his Holyfire.

Angela: ...and that is when some shadow thing freed me from my imprisonment, and helped me get here.

CJ: A shadow?

Lily: Did it say what its name is, Mrs. Johnson?

Rachael: Yeah, who was it?

Angela: No. It only said to me, "Not yet. Very soon. You'll see." But... I think... it was Taylin, Charlie.

Hearing that familiar name, CJ's irises shrank, and his body went stiff. His friends gasped out loud, as they were also familiar with this Taylin person, but the three demonesses were all puzzled.

Octavia: Taylin? Who's Taylin?

Loona: Sound like a foreigner to me.

Charlie: Um... Angela, who exactly is Taylin?

But before Angela could answer that, Charlie's phone vibrated in her left pocket. She quickly pulled it out, and it was a message from her father, Lucifer. It had a news article link to it, reads "share this with the others.

Charlie: Huh. My dad just sent me a news article in my texting app. But... why?

At that moment, another Hell portal opened a few feet away, and Lucifer came out into their view, with a serious expression. Charlie then walked up to him, feeling a little nervous after seeing his face.

Charlie: Dad? Is... something wrong?

Letting out a deep sigh, Lucifer shook his head slowly. His daughter could see that a serious situation has occurred.

Lucifer: No. Something came up. Regarding Charlie Johnson's recent actions.

CJ and Zarathos heard his name being mentioned by the devil, and he, and the others, joined in on the Morningstar's conversation.

CJ: Me? What happened?

Carly: Wait a minute. Charlie? Is he your father?

Charlie: Yep, that's him. Lucifer Morningstar.

Seeing him for the first time, both Carly and Angela could only show a dumbfounded face, while Lucifer grinned at them. To them, he was completely different than what they normaly read in the Bible. In every text known to man, after his fall from grace, Lucifer was transformed into a hideous demon ruler of Hell, with red skin and horns.

Angela: Wow. But... he looks sooo...

Carly: Handsome?

Carly quickly clapped her mouth shut, as Angela glared at her. But, Lucifer laughed at this, as he understood how humans only remembered that written part of the Heaven and Hell's history.

Lucifer: Oh boy. You humans have a lot to learn about the real Hell. And for the record, Satan rules the ring of Wrath, while I'm Pride's king, and the King of all of Hell. We're two different beings, y'know.
