Today was Christmas eve and i was going to be spending my Christmas with Hailees family as my family is all the way in New york.
"Hey babe could you pass me that ornament?" Hailee asks "Yeah sure" i say getting up from my spot and handing her the ornament, Hailee wasn't very tall so she was on a step stool. I quickly used that to my advantage and hugged her from her waist, Hailee sighed happily and leaned closer to me. After she put the ornament on she stepped down from the stool and cupped my face in her hands "I'm so glad your spending Christmas with us this year" "Me too Haiz" i reply smiling at her. After a few seconds of just smiling at each other i kissed her and she instantly snaked her hand up to the back of my neck to make sure I couldn't pull away. "Get a room" I heard a voice say and when me and Hailee turned around we saw no other than Griffin Steinfeld "Griffin!" Hailee exclaimed while running up to hug her older brother. "Hey Griff" "Hey Y/N" me and griffin dabbed each other up and then hugged "Mom and Dad should be here in a bit" Griffin said.
Me Hailee and Griffin were talking while setting up the tree until we heard a knock on the door, I walked to the door and opened to see Cheri And Peter smiling widely at me "Merry Christmas Eve!" Cheri said while pulling me into a big hug "Merry Christmas Eve Cheri!" I say hugger her back before I greet Peter "Merry Christmas Eve Sir" "Sir? What am i your teacher come on and give me a hug!" Me and peter laugh before coming in a warm embrace.
Me and Hailee were on the couch cuddling while Cheri was in the kitchen making hot chocolate, trust me i wanted to help but she forced me to sit down and sit with Hailee which i gladly did. I sat down with Hailee in my arms while i played with her hair and she played with my free hand until Cheri called us "Alright guys! Hot chocolate is ready!" Me and Hailee looked at each other "I call first cup!" Hailee exclaims but before she could run to the table i picked her up over my shoulder "Not if i have anything to do with it" I say as she squeals and yells for her parents. I put Hailee down after i got the first cup and smiled at her while she pouted at me "your mean" She says crossing her arms "And you are beautiful" i say which make Hailees cheeks go red.
"Alright Christmas movie time!" Griffin says before giving me a high five. Me and Hailee sat hand in hand on the couch with Griffin beside us and Hailees parents sitting on the other couch. "Okay so what Christmas movie?" I ask looking around "Elf!" The Steinfeld family said in unison "Okay i guess were watching elf" i say.
Hailee kept glancing at me while watching the movie so i turned to face her and asked "You okay?" I whisper "Yeah, are you sure you don't wanna watch something else?" She asked me "Im okay, I love elf" Hailee smiled at me while i rested my head on her shoulder and wrapped my arm around her waist.
Eventually I fell asleep on Hailee halfway through the movie. "Psst Hailee" griffin whispered pointing in my direction Hailee gave griffin a confused look and turned my way to see i was asleep hugging her with my head still on her shoulder. She smiled and took out her phone to take a picture, she put that photo on instagram with the caption 'my sleepy little baby' Hailee loved to show me and hers relationship with people.
It was the next morning and I woke up with a screaming Hailee in my face "Y/N! Babe wake up! Its Christmas!" She exclaimed "Ugh fine" i said rubbing my eyes "come on don't be a grouch its Christmas" she said looking at me "Okay i wont, Merry Christmas Baby" i say hugging Hailee tightly "Merry Christmas Handsome" i smiled at the Nickname and we decided to wake Hailees family up Griffin fell Asleep on the couch next to us while Peter and Cheri were already up and ready. "Ready 3 2 1!" I say before yelling in Griffins face with Hailee "Merry Christmas!" We yell Griffin jumped up from his seat rubbing his eyes before realizing it was Christmas.
We all got ready to open presents and lucky for me Hailee was giving me my gift first.
"Okay Y/N this is your gift " Hailee said handing me a medium sized box that was pretty heavy. I opened the lid hesitantly before looking inside "No way! Hailee you got me a puppy!?" Hailee nods at me smiling widely as i pick up the golden dog "hi buddy! Im Y/N nice to meet you, hmm now what should i name you do you like the name tucker?" The puppy barked and started to lick my face "Well then everyone meet Tucker!" I say holding tucker up "Hi tucker!" Hailee says petting him "Hailee i love him thank you so much" i say giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Okay now heres your gift Haiz" I say pulling a small box from my pocket out i stood up holding Hailees hand. "From the moment I saw you, I knew that you were someone special. Our paths crossed in the most unexpected way, but I'm so grateful for that chance encounter. I remember how we talked for hours that first night, and how it felt like we had known each other for years. Since then, we've shared so many amazing moments together, like when we were shooting Hawkeye we had a bunch of fun moments off screen and on screen or when we went sledding in New York and we both fell on our butts at least a thousand times. But Hailee i cant imagine my life without you. I want to spend the rest of my days making memories with you and building a life that's full of love and happiness. Will you marry me?" I say getting down on one knee and showing the ring "Wait what? Your joking right?" I chuckle shaking my head no "nope this is real" i say looking up at her "I yes! I will marry you!" She says hugging me tightly, i put the ring on her finger and pull her in a passionate kiss "Whoo! Good job Y/N" griffin says clapping his hands While Cheri and Peter smile widely at me and Hailee.
As time went by me and Hailee went back to our home and got freshened up. I started to cook dinner and noticed Hailee sitting on the couch with Tucker, Lucky and Martini playing with all of them while glancing at her hand from time to time. I smiled at the thought that Hailee was now my fiancé instead of my girlfriend. "Okay dinners ready" i say wiping my hands on my apron.
Me and Hailee finished dinner quickly and while i was washing the dishes Hailee put on Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas by Michael Bublé and held her hand out for me to grab. I quickly grabbed her hand and we both swayed to the music with the pups running around, the Christmas tree all lit up, and of course no snow but its still a great Christmas. "Best Christmas ever" Hailee whispers "I agree" i say putting our foreheads together, Hailee then puts her head on my shoulder as we both continued to dance together enjoying each other's embrace.
