Me and my teammates walked out of the tunnel to hear the roaring crowd all cheering for the team.
I started my stretches until my teammate Cade Cunningham pointed someone out "Yo Y/N, look whos here" he said to me, I looked over to where Cade was pointing and I saw my beautiful girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld, I ran over to where Hailee was sitting which was courtside "Hailee!" I exclaim while I give her a hug "Hey!" she says back "I didnt think you would come" I say "I could never miss one of your games" she smiles, me and Hailee start talking but then the buzzer went which meant I had to get on the court. I took off my jacket and ran out next to my team when the ref was doing the toss.
The ball went to our team and Cade had the ball first we ran to the end of the court and I was trying to get open, I finally found an empty space farther from the three point line, I called for the ball, Cade passed and I shot to make a three pointer. We were playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves and they were kinda good. The scores were 27-19 so we had the lead, after making the three we were on defense I went to gaurd my guy while the others went to theirs. I was gaurding anthony Edwards, he had the ball next and he spin moved me running up to the paint until cade blocked his shot.
TIME SKIP (sorry, im so lazy today lol)
It was halftime so I started to talk to Hailee again "Your doing great babe" Hailed commented "thanks haiz, I have a good feeling about this game" I say drinking some water. Just like that halftime was over but I did not have to play yet so I waited for coach to sub me in.
I got subbed in with five minutes left of the third quarter and the score was 54-42, our team had still taken the lead. I got passed the ball and I did a spin move running up to the paint and dunking it in the net. The crowd cheered and so did Hailee, I quickly looked over to see Hailee watching the game very focused on what was going on and I smile before getting focused as well. I had the ball in hand until I passed to our power forward Bojan Bogdanovich who was in the paint and he easily dunked the ball in.
TIME SKIP TO LAST 10 SECONDS OF 4TH QUARTER (Sorry again!)
This was it the last 10 seconds of the game scores were tied up 75-75 if we or them didnt score we would have to go into Overtime. Our team had the ball again we all ran down to the paint when I was heavily gaurded I did a spin move to get some space when our center passed me the ball and with only 5 seconds left I had one of our players to give me a screen and with that I had enough room to make a shot, think of your average basketball movie its as if time slows down and the only thing you see is if that ball will make it in. it spun around and around the rim as if it was deciding if we should get this win. The ball was in its last spin and before I knew it our team had won the game, The crowd erupted with cheers and so did the team,they ran up to me and picked me up all yelling and screaming with excitement. They put me down and the first thing I did was run to Hailee "You did it!, Your team won!" Hailee squeals "Yeah! this is awesome!" I reply.
The day ended with a little celebration and hanging out with Hailees family, Overall amazing day.
