Summary: Y/N and Hailee are on their first date and are enjoying up until Hailees Ex Niall Horan shows up and starts disrespecting Hailee. Y/N stands up for Hailee but Niall doesn't seem to care until Y/N stands up and towers over Niall.

Today was me and Hailees first date and ive been looking forward to this date for a long time.
I was getting ready in my room till my younger sister Robin burst into the room. "YOUR GOING ON A DATE WITH HAILEE STEINFELD?!" she shouts "Robin!" I quickly grab a shirt and cover up my bare chest with Robin still looking at me wide eyed "You better not mess this up" Robin plops herself on my bed not giving a care that I was changing "Jesus, im not gonna mess it up. Why are you so excited about my date?" I ask slowly putting my shirt on "Because its Hailee fucking Steinfeld" Robin looks down at her phone "Language" I say sternly while Robin rolls her eyes. "Alright I should be leaving, see ya sis" "See ya bro, hey do me a favor, dont fu-" "dont fuck it up I know" Robin and I hug before I sprint downstairs and grab my keys.
I drive over to Hailees house while listening to 'Galway Girl' by Ed sheeran. Before I went to Hailees I went to my friends flower shop. "Hey Tina!" I wave as she waves back "Hey Y/N/N! who the flowers for?" "Cant a guy just buy some flowers without it having to be for someone?" Tina glares at me while I rub the back of my neck akwardly. "Okay fine, the flowers are for my date" "Oooh a date who did you ask out?" "Promise not to tell anyone?" Tina then puts her hand on her heart and nods "Hailee Steinfeld" I whisper "Damn Y/N good job, dont mess it up" "Why does everyone think im gonna mess it up!" Tina gives me some flowers and I head into my car.
Hailees POV:
I sat on my couch waiting for Y/N to get here so I decided to text him.

Y/N POV:
Me and Hailee went to the park after we ate when we saw happy couples sitting the the cold grass hand in hand. My hand brushed Hailees till she grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers together, I looked down then up at Hailee who smiled widely at me. We found a bench near a fountain and decided to just sit and talk there. We enjoyed our time together before we saw Hailees ex Niall Horan walking towards us, I could easily sense Hailee getting a little nervous so I gave her hand a tight squeeze. "Wow Hailee, didnt expect to see you here" Niall says in his thick irish accent "What do you want Niall" Hailee responds "Im just here at the park taking a walk. Oh and who might you be?" Niall shifts his attention towards me and holds out his hand for me to shake "Im Y/N, nice to meet you" I say as I give him a fake smile. "Pleasure, Hailee you have not changed at all, still the same pathetic, needy person you were before we broke up. When Niall said that rage burst through my veins, how can he say stuff like that?!. I look over at Hailee whos head is down while Niall keeps talking shit about her.
"Hey back off" I slightly move closer to Hailee "Im not scared of you, what do you do? are you a coffee boy or something?" Niall says confidently, I chuckle as I stand up and tower over him. "You should be scared because I was in the army for three years while I got my degree in psychology and now im in the MLB as a starting pitcher, catcher, second baseman and centerfielder for the Houston Astros. Does that answer your question?" Niall stands there speechless and walks away without saying a word.
"Glad thats over" I say before sitting next to Hailee again "Thank you Y/N that meant a lot to me" Hailee chimes in "Bien Sur mon amour" (which means of course my love in french). Hailees cheeks immediately turned red as I said that. Hailee and I look at eachother then eachothers lips and we both started to lean and there we were.
